Not being a yeller, screamer, chanter, prayer, type, I'll likely be in the border areas looking in, taking pics, and trying my best to estimate the size of the crowds.

BTW, I did much the same during the (cold!) pre-Iraq protest in January 2003. It really opened my eyes to the overt media bias in the US, as that evening I heard news reports of turnout numbers of around 1 tenth of what I had seen with my own eyes.

So, I'll be there, snapping wide crowd pics and estimating head counts. If I see an obvious group of DUers I may dive in and see if anyone knows this Ready4Change guy. ;)

For many reasons I don't expect anything awful tomorrow. Plus, the weather is looking downright pleasant.

please do not be naive. Keep your wits about you and do not
be complacent. Please. Good weather could mean a good turn out.
A good turn out means the powers that be get nervous and twitchy.

5. FYI, I'm back.

No problems. All protestors I saw were very well behaved, as were the police.

From what I hear, tomorrow may be a bit more contentious, as some counter protesting groups plan some more confrontory actions. And I've also heard there may be more controversial things on Monday. I've no plans to be there on those days, so someone else will need to comment.

But as far as today, very nifty event. Glad I went.
