1. Perhaps he thought if he told everyone he was in CO
and stayed at the WH, Rita wouldn't be able to find him.

3. Are they waiting
to fly him into Texas so he can be pictured in rain and wind like the Weather Channel correspondents?

4. He was supposed to goto TX first.
The presser where David Gregory asked the question was at FEMA HQ. It's 3 Eastern now... if he's flying to TX right now it would take at least a couple hours, he stays for 2 hours... it would be 6 Central and then fly to CO for an hour which would be about 7 mountain time when he arrives.

If this is the case, he won't have much time to do anything before his 8:00 bedtime. It'll take him at least half an hour to get in his jammies and get a story. And that's 8 mountain time... a whopping 10PM EASTERN TIME Way past Georgie's bed time.

9. Here it is: Jewish vet to get Medal of Honor
http://www.suntimes.com/output/news/cst-nws-medal22.html

LOS ANGELES -- Tibor Rubin kept his promise to join the U.S. Army after American troops freed him from the Mauthausen concentration camp in Austria during World War II.

A Hungarian Jew, Rubin immigrated to New York after the war, joined the Army and fought as an infantryman in the Korean War. In 1951, Chinese troops captured Cpl. Rubin and other U.S. soldiers and he became a prisoner of war for 2-1/2 years.

More than five decades later, after a relentless campaign by grateful comrades and Jewish war veterans, President Bush on Friday will give Rubin the Medal of Honor.

<snip>
He was nominated four times for the medal, the nation's highest recognition for bravery in battle. But some believe the paperwork was never submitted because a member of his chain of command discriminated against him for being Jewish and born in Hungary.
