Can't somebody in the media please do a Cost Analysis of Bush Photo-Ops?
Rove's "Project Bullhorn Moment" has got to be expensive. Especially given all the talk about the "cost cutting" that is going to be required to fix Katrina damage and maintain the taxcuts for the super-rich.

Sounds like we are going to get some more pictures of Bush at Northcom as he "takes command" of the Hurricane Rita response there.

estimate in USA Today last year:

I assume that's much higher now with higher fuel costs, but I couldn't find a more recent estimate with a quick Google search.

gasoline to prevent shortages.

Not only the cost and natural resources that are wasted. Think about all the security required for this asshole.
Security personnel that are needed to protect, evacuate and rescue the residence of these areas.
I have always called it stupid when the president makes these trips to the devastated areas.
It is pure bullshit.
