Do you think the American people know that Bush is a phony?
That the only reason he is returning to the gulf and to Texas repeatedly is for photo-ops because Rove knows he blew it when it took him five days to respond to Hurricane Katrina? Do you think that most people have Bush pegged as the uncaring son of a bitch (and I mean that literally) that he is, or do you think that these repeated photo-ops will make people think he really has learned his lesson and forgive him? I hope not.

2. Not on Craigslist They Don't
But I sure as hell get a kick out of telling them the truth, over and over again. They are brainwashed.

4. Unfortunately ,I think at least half the American people will believe....
he really cares. They will not see it as him just trying to bolster his ratings. It is so obvious why Rove is doing this but it will probably work.

5. Not as much as one would hope for
because of limited access to media. The TV pictures did it for anyone with a heart to match their eyes, but there is no path of words to lead them out of the fog of lies they get their opinions from, especially in red areas.

But, one single incontrovertible public scandal, something we know is trivial in comparison to treason, murder and destroying America, will drive them away in sullen bitterness and anger also at Bush. That hard core is nor redeemable by any truth alone, but by refinding their common humanity and more genuine American or religious ideals.

I think there is a steady and quite active attrition going on, for which the so-called "popular war president" was a shallow speed bump of automatic deference. The enthusiasts need to have all their shining dreams dashed and no one can do that better than Hit.. I mean Nix.. I really mean Bush.

Nixon could appear, by resigning, to leave a last cloud where many truths did not have to be faced, but to conservatives and loyalists he let them down- and they REQUIRE constant success with impunity and a nice veneer of moral superiority.

The day Katrina hits, Bush flies to Arizona for a "Conversation on Medicare." Upon landing, he presents John McCain with a birthday cake. He then flies to San Diego to spend the night at the luxury resort Hotel del Coronado, reportedly attending a fundraiser that night.

As floodwaters inundate New Orleans and the Gulf Coast reels from the catastrophe, Bush speaks at a VJ-Day ceremony in San Diego. Afterwards singer Mark Wills presents him with a guitar. He then returns to Crawford for the night.

10. 59,028,109 of us knew it in November of 2004.
The rest of the country is slowly (and painfully) coming to the same realization.
