9-11 crash victim Barbara Olson arrested in Europe

by Tom Flocco

Austria--September 22, 2005--TomFlocco.com--French and American intelligence agents have arrested Barbara Olson, the wife of a former Bush administration official, a few days ago on the Polish-Austrian border, according to agents close to and with knowledge of the incident.

The alleged 9.11 Pentagon crash victim was found to be in possession of millions in fake interbank Italian lyra currency, according to the agents.

Olson was also reportedly in possession of a fraudulent Vatican passport and was held on charges of counterfeiting.

The former Fox News TV commentator and Independent Women's Forum activist was said to have called her husband Theodore Olson from her plane to seek help in countering hijackers who had allegedly taken over American flight 77 which the Bush administration said was crashed into the Pentagon- although the impact only left an opening approximately 16 feet across.

Ted Olson is the former Bush 43 Solicitor General who had previously argued the President's legal interests in the controversial Bush-Gore 2000 election recount case before the U.S. Supreme Court.

break a big story. Hey, the Enquirer broke the Bush/booze story.

IF this is true it's bigger than all the other headlines rolled together. But it obviously needs to be corroberated by other sources or evidence provided. Maybe Reuters will do the honors (payback for the death of so many of their news people by 'friendly fire' in Iraq perhaps?...Come on Reuters!).

4. Damn, damn, damn
I have asked several times how come she was on that aircraft and how convenient it was for Ted to have remarried so quickly.
This is a massive story if it's true.
By the way I never believed she called him on 9/11. It was just way too neat and one study I read suggested that we were told pure lies re that aircraft.

did I say I "love" rense.com?
if you don't like rense.com because of the occasional holocaust denier (which by the way I have never ever seen on there, probably because I ignore such stories) then don't go there.

Tom Flocco is an entertaining read with, like I said, a "wait and see" factor. Most of the stories there are never corroborated--but most are never contradicted by actual facts either.

9. Flocco's a wacko...
... just look at the factual errors in the story--moreover, if it were in any way true, some European paper would have picked up something on it, and I checked--none have.

Flocco has probably never written anything resembling real news. This is a prime example of him using the internet to advance something that is very, very likely to be complete fiction.

Cheers.

16. Second question...
... as others mentioned in the original thread, Italy converted to the Euro in 2002. Millions of lire (not "lyra") would now be worthless, three years after the conversion (hell, it was nearly worthless at the time of conversion--the exchange rate in 2002 was 2200 lire to the dollar), so, say, five million lire would be worth a bit more than two grand in dollars, even if it wasn't counterfeit and was still convertible.

Cheers.

If the tomflocco.com weather forecast says that it's sunny outside, grab your umbrella.

He's an unhinged loon. There's so much wrong with that article it's difficult to know where to start.

Here's a map of Europe:

Notice the Austria-Poland border? It's called the Czech Republic.

Olson was in possession of millions of fake "Lyra" currency. WTF is a Lyra? Italy uses the Euro, previously it used the Lira. I guess the "fake" part is correct.

Tom Flocco is insane. Wasn't he peddling some story about British agents trying to blow up the Chicago subway system a while back? You cannot take seriously anything that appears on his website.

27. Dunno...
... but it's helluva goal in life for a "reporter." :)

Flocco does not equal fact. There was the British chasing terrorists in the Chicago subway system story, as someone mentioned. There was the Chicago grand jury issuing indictments for Bush story. There's this latest one. Then there's the story about Bush firing Fitzgerald and replacing him with a fellow Skull & Boneser (when, in fact, it was the replacement for Comey, who resigned to work for Lockheed Martin).

And, so on. The only things that might be true in what Flocco writes is what he's lifted from other mainstream sources.

It's so damned easy to be distracted by this stuff, and it's such a time-waster (that may be why Flocco exists--someone's paying him to create diversions).

Cheers.

Edited on Fri Sep-23-05 06:58 AM by whatever4
And I don't mean crap like this story. I mean the many insulting comments about it, though from the start it was a request for verification. There was no good reason to insult this poster or the topic of this post. Shame on you all for lashing out at someone here.

We've seen this Admin do so many loony, lying, murderous things, WHY in the world does anyone see fit to ridicule these types of stories??? What purpose does it serve? Are we not discussing the National Inquire this week?? I REST MY CASE!!

IF it's true, this story, it's ground shaking. NOT one to be ignored, unless one WANTS to be ignorant. IF it's not, THAT is what the author wanted to find out.

You many critics don't want to know, don't want this information shared, don't want to know if it's true?? Then you aren't any better than the repugs killing us off, you really aren't. You really aren't. You do us all a disservice, and are participating in the same information shaming/blaming/hiding behavior as the admin. In effect, you do their work FOR them.

So do us all a favor, those of you that ENJOY the tinfoil hat calling, and just leave off it, okay? Give peace a chance, at least here, could you think about it? Quit trying to squash stories until you're "sure" they're true? Becaue your arrogant, egotistical know-it-all attidues don't help the rest of us mere mortals AT ALL. And further, at times you're quite stupid, in what you refuse to consider, closeminded.

The same type of folks that laughed at me for being suspicious of the voting in 2000. Same types of folks that ridiculed ME for my concerns.

Bet they aren't laughing now.

Think they'd have learned better to laugh at all. What the fuck does this laughing do us, those so worried and frustrated over our nation we're practically clinically depressed over it?? I mean, my christ, we've lost our nation in just a few short years, over crazy stories like this. Stories we just didn't believe, like the torture, like the fact that there WERE no WMD. On and on. Think YOUR sort would friggin LEARN after a while.

Because you can say any damn thing you like, and it still won't compare to the truth of the matter, which is that we've been lied to in the WORST ways, and it goes without saying we're still discovering ALL the ways in which we've been lied to.

Fact facts; if we were lied to, odd-ball stories like this from less-than reputable sources, are the FIRST places we'll find clues about it. Please stop treating clues as meanless because they're ONLY clues? Offhand? Think about it.

And save the insulting attitudes for those that deserve it? Those that don't want to know anyt of the truth, the neocons, the real problem people, they're the real issue, remember??? Jesus. Act like cannabils, you're acting JUST like "them". Leading us down the same dumbed-down path, and it doesn't help anything at all.

We've seen this Admin do so many loony, lying, murderous things, WHY in the world does anyone see fit to ridicule these types of stories?

Because it's A FUCKING PACK OF LIES. The fact that Bush is an asshole doesn't change that one iota.

IF it's true

Which it isn't.

this story, it's ground shaking.

But it isn't.

. NOT one to be ignored, unless one WANTS to be ignorant.

Unsubstantiated bullshit from some guy with a website who can't even be bothered to look at a map of Europe when making up his lies, and we're the ones who are ignorant for pointing out that it's wrong?

Then you aren't any better than the repugs killing us off, you really aren't.

Talk about people throwing around insulting comments.

Give peace a chance

Hippie. :)

The same type of folks that laughed at me for being suspicious of the voting in 2000. Same types of folks that ridiculed ME for my concerns.

The difference, quite obviously, is that there is evidence for that, and none for this. LACK OF EVIDENCE and OBVIOUS BULLSHIT are what's going on here, and it's where the "ridicule" as you call it originates.

Fact facts; if we were lied to, odd-ball stories like this from less-than reputable sources, are the FIRST places we'll find clues about it.

No, it isn't. Because Tom Flocco is a fucking liar. I don't listen to bullshit liars, be they Bush or Tom I've-got-a-website Flocco.

"conspiracies" and "conspiracy theorists" on internet forums. I can say with absolute conviction that several have been posting here on DU for years.

note the posters who assert outright "the story is bs" from the get-go (I don't have to point out the one very near to this post, do I?) just because to them it is simply too impossible to believe. For "some reason" those who won't touch "conspiracies" with a 10-ft pole choose to enter discussions for the sole purpose of ridicule and disruption.

There are two or three bloggers out there, Tom Flocco being one of them, whose main job would appear to be to provide ammunition for those on the right who believe that all complaints against * stem from crazy conspiracy theorists. It makes it very easy for the MSM to dismiss sites such as DU when stories like this are discussed.

40. Methinks thou dost protest too much...
... no one's personally attacked the poster, but a lot of us have been quite plain about Flocco's inability to discern fact from fiction.

Things of substance and verifiability deserve consideration and inspection. Flights of fancy do not. And, it's worth noting that this is the second post on this same subject in about an hour. Maybe the subject is getting a bit tiresome.

In the case you used as an example, the 2000 election, there was evidence. A number of sources checked the evidence. There was, finally, a comprehensive examination of the votes that showed Gore would have won. There were several people who checked on--and verified--that the parameters used for moving people off the voting rolls as felons were very broad and were approved by the Florida Secretary of State's office.

There's a broad and distinct difference between that example and secret agents on the "Polish-Austrian" border detaining a woman presumed dead for four years.

And, I am not like the neo-cons for taking this attitude. I prefer the truth. The neo-cons prefer lies. Now, if you would please, show me the truth--the documentable and verifiable truth--in this latest article of Tom Flocco's.

Cheers.

Here's a fact.......a verifiable truth.
it's doth, methinks.

As for Tom......I'd have to study his previous work to have an opinion, though I agree that the weaknesses in the story don't give me a lot of confidence. But sometimes even bumbling idiots can fall over an important story. Obviously we can't rest on this single source, which is why I suggested we look around a bit and see if any part of this story showed up elsewhere.
