Schedule for Events this Weekend at DC -- from DAWN
DC Area Anti-War Network activists (Karen O'Keefe) has put together and announced a schedule of events for this weekend in DC.

*Fast for Economic Justice for Iraq -- from 10am-2pm from 9/13 to 9/26, the group will vigil at IMF/World Bank -- 700 19th St NW. They'll join other organized actions from 9/23 to 9/26.

*Fri & Sat 7:30pm Human Rights Films: Hidden in Plain Sight & Something’s in the Air/But It’s Not on the Airwaves -- All Soul's Church -- 1500 Harvard St NW -- Suggests $10

*Sustainable Economy-Ecological Balance-Social Justice: The Green Festival -- Convention Center -- 801 Mount Vernon Pl.

Friday

6-8pm Global Justice Antiwar Critical Mass -- leaves from Dupont Circle

7-9pm Code Pink Vigil -- Walter Reed Medical Center, Georgia Ave across from Elder NW

7-9pm Candlelight Vigil & Meditation -- St Stephen's, 1525 Newton NW-- Buddhist Peace Fllshp

7-10pm Health and Safety Trainings at St Stephen's, 1525 Newton NW (Columbia Heights metro)

7-10pm First session, International Tribunal on Haiti -- GW University 1957 E St. NW

8pm UFPJ Benefit w/ Steve Jeffers & Chris Chandler -- 6701 Wisconsin Avenue. Suggests $10

8pm Folk the War w/ Yikes McGee -- Café Mawonaj 624 T NW -- Suggests $5 (Katrina benefit)

8am Jewish Breakfast Against War -- Sixth & I Historic Synagogue, 600 I St. (march at 11am)

9:30am Pro-Palestine Feeder March -- Farragut Park (by Farragut North metro)

10am UFPJ Peace & Justice Festival begins near Washington Monument

11am March With the Poets -- Intersection of C & 20th Streets, NW

11am Global Justice Feeder March (with short rally) -- Dupont Circle

11am Queers Against the War contingent -- F and 14th NW

11:30am Rally at Ellipse (south side of White House), 12:30 march begins (UFPJ & ANSWER)

4pm (time not definite) Educational Workshops and Panel on Torture -- 1313 NY Ave.

3pm-1am Operation Ceasefire -- Free Music Festival to Stop the War

*In the Palestine Tent (on the Mall) -- Teach Ins, food, poetry slam: 3pm Palestinian Refugees' Right of Return; 4pm Poetry Slam; 5pm Dual Occupations -- Iraq and Palestine; 6pm Palestinian food; 7pm: The Campaign Against Caterpillar; 8pm Boycotts, Divestment, and Sanctions

*Mutual Aid For New Orleans will be collecting donations, including supplies.
4-7pm Autonomous Encuentro on the Mall -- a gathering to invent a new network to support autonomous struggles worldwide. On the Mall at Haupt Garden (10th St & Independence SW)

8:30am Protest AIPAC and March on Congress -- 440 1st Street NW

9am March, Rally, & Lobby Day to End Torture -- Begin at Federal Ballroom Holiday Inn, 415 New Jersey NW

10am Nonviolent Direct Action at the White House
