So, what happens if you are a born again Christian President who stopped drinking mostly because of your faith in the lord Jesus Christ then everything seemed to fall into place for you including becoming President of the United States (mostly because your Dad was President) and getting re-elected, you are drunk with your power and Moses syndrome (Burning Bush = Bush) thinking you were hand picked by God to change the world, bring democracy to the Middle East and in a successful holy Christian Crusade and you will go down as the GREATEST PRESIDENT in US History and have a special place in Heaven next to God and Jesus and Moses!
Then suddenly EVERYTHING falls apart!!!
:wow:  :dunce:
The War becomes a quagmire, you lose on Social Security, Gas prices skyrocket, Terri Schiavo ends up REALLY being brain dead and most of the Country doesn't buy what you are selling and the midnight flight is exposed as overkill insanity, your approval ratings start dropping like a rock and then because you dismantled FEMA and filled it with cronies with no experience who were fired from their previous jobs over a thousand die because of your incompetence and you are worried SICK that the Valerie Plame scandal is about to blow up in your face big time!!!!!!
What do you do???
:toast:
It reminds me of the scene from Caddy-shack when the Reverend is having the game of his life then suddenly he misses a put and he curses God and is struck by lightening. His words the next day at the bar: "Their is no God".
Well if their is a God he/she believes in reason and free debate and NOT insane people who abandon science and natural law for blind faith who think God has put them on a pedestal as the second coming of Christ!
Which brings me to this quote by Thomas Jefferson:
History, I believe, furnishes no example of a priest-ridden people maintaining a free civil government. This marks the lowest grade of ignorance of which their civil as well as religious leaders will always avail themselves for their own purposes. -- Thomas Jefferson, to Alexander von Humboldt, December 6, 1813
Yep! It's time for Bush's feet to be brought back down to earth! No Bush, you are not Moses! GET IT????:spank:
