3. I feel there's hope due to the recent revelations
that Schwarz... is a sexual predator. I think the polls are showing it somewhat even. I got a msg. on my machine tonight where to report any voting "irregularities." I'm going to vote at the place I always do so hopefully nothing bad will happen.

5. Talkin' on Mike Malloy right now about the Greg Pallast article...
and arnie and enron! Cruz and Davis have a civil suit against Enron and it will disappear if arnie slithers in.

Why didn't this come out Sooner?

17. The public doesn't get it.
It isn't an issue you can explain in a 30 second television spot. He wouldn't debate me because he knew he couldn't live it down.

7. I can relate... I'm trying to be positive about it...
but sometimes, no luck there.

this really bugged me: only app 25% of the polling places will be open, so this year I won't be going to the place right next door, I'll have to go about 2-3 miles away. No big deal getting there, BUT, my usual place uses optical machines that have a paper trail, and VERY watchful pollworkers

I don't know what to expect at this other place. And who decides which places are open, and which are not? What is their criteria? Open the ones with Diebold machines????

9. You're the political strategist
You must know that there are times when losing a battle can mean winning the war. How do you think Californians and the coutry will like hearing in intimate excruciating detail all 15 of Arnie's accusers sell their stories to the tabloids in the next few months? How will a mud splattered Arnie help the GOP? Or Bush? Arnie could be the worst mistake the GOP ever made.

I think the backlash will be deadly and immediate if he is elected. I'm almost thinking it could be a good thing going into 2004.

Don't you think he's box office poison for the GOP?

13. That's very likely if Arnold wins.
Then we get the Democratic equivalent of the rethugs going through Clinton's underwear drawers. Only, in Clinton's case, the women involved were willing partners. Whereas Arnold repeatedly made advances that were neither wanted nor asked for.

Furthermore, somebody better break it to the rethugs - the ONLY way they can win in a state like California, where we speak FLUENT LIBERAL, is to push moderate candidates who are pro-choice. Their many attempts to shove a knuckledragger down our throats have been dismal failures. That's going to rankle the hard-right body-snatcher contingent.

But I DO like the idea of having wall-to-wall Gropenator coverage. Could VERY much work to our advantage. Besides, if he's damaged goods, they aren't going to want to be seen with him, much. Further, there will inevitably be press commentaries about the glaring hypocrisy of the GOP - they flayed Clinton alive for a consentual sex-capade, while they look the other way and wink and nod at Arnold's many aggressions.

20. Jiacinto you may be right
but the majority of voters for robot will be WRONG!!! Be patient if this happens because Robot will not be able to make any sweeping changes. He will disappoint his naive (albeit stupid voters) who will want quick change. He aint gonna get it from out predominately DEM legislature.

22. think positively, carlos...AND PRAY!!!!
Edited on Tue Oct-07-03 12:03 AM by noiretblu
seriously. when the networks called the electoin for bush in nov 2000, i got on my knees and prayed for THE BEST OUTCOME. the next morning i awoke to a contested election! and even though the florida and scotus were fixed, there was that extended period of hope..] it ain't over yet...and if it's any consolation: there is A LOT of anti-ahhnold sentiment here in the bay area. i still have hope, and we know one thing: it's going to be close. i'm still hoping for the best outcome: NO on the recall...and i hope i'm crying tears of joy tomorrow night.

27. We'll win this!
And if they beat us at the polls tomorrow, I'm all set to start up a recall of Arnie down here in North SD County as soon as he starts to fuck up (which will be VERY soon).

24. Once again,
Polls are meaningless, it's who will show up to vote. If real californians show up to vote ,the recall will fail. If freepers for musclehead only show up,well.....
