MMP voting- Interesting for lurking freepers too
Edited on Tue Sep-20-05 04:18 PM by firefox
I was reading up on the recent New Zealand elections when I ran across their election method adopted for the 1996 elections called MMP, Mixed-Member Proportional voting. In this system you get two votes and it is a way of difussing power. This is the link I found when trying to figure out what MMP was- http://www.univ-nancy2.fr/CEAA/CRESAB/text-nz-rhen.htm

I could go for anything that breaks the stranglehold of the two-party system, but this MMP voting is something to sing about. Too bad our media always looks inward and avoids reporting anything with any real informational nutrition.
