What's with the CNN pictures of missing kids - just shadow, if
they don't have a picture, I can't tell if it is Matthew or Susie, either.

1. The blank pic space means no one has submitted an actual photo
And the "shadow", as you call it, is in the outline of a boy or a girl. If you watch the ones with actual pics, some of those photos are from when the child was quite young, and the actual age does not match the posted picture. Example: (girl NAME) Age 6, but the photo shows a child about age 2.

9. My error: The blank pics are all boy outlines

But it can be fairly well discerned whether it is a boy or girl by the name.

2. I like the idea but are 20 year olds really "kids"?
Of course people are looking for them and we all hope they are found but they aren't really kids are they?

6. Depends on your point of view...
For military service...no, age 20 is adult. :grr:

For right to vote...no, age 20 is adult.

For right to drink....yes, age 20 is a kid. :eyes:

For a parent....they are always your "kid" or "baby."

4. Because their parents/guardians are missing too perhaps?
If I were an aunt, uncle, or friend and reported a whole family missing I might not know the precise age either.

10. I have to wonder if when the kids (or family member) became seperated
and movesd to a different location than the parent, that there was some sort of name collecting going on that followed some of the kids. Have to also think that there are some kids not old enough to talk, could be retarded or otherwise unable to speak or unable to provede that information about themselves. Some may be too traumatized to speak and/or not willing to speak. So,the age becomes posted as "unknown".

5. Am I wrong ...
... in thinking that at least half of these missing children have nothing to do with New Orleans, but are just in the data base of the "Missing & Exploited Children" organization?

7.  I think the names alone are almost useless, unless they also list
the last place seen. How much harder would that be? If you're gonna do this, do it right.
