CNN's report on recovering bodies in New Orleans now on tV
Edited on Wed Sep-14-05 01:41 PM by glarius
The doctor who is a part of this news conference (with Adm. Thad Allen) said "people are saying we are not treating the bodies with respect" and he is very indignant about that....I ask what Anderson Cooper asked "if they were treated with respect, why were they allowed to lie in the streets for 2 weeks and be chewed at by dogs,etc..." Cooper also said some bodies were tied to poles and left.....

3. Since different skills are required for collecting bodies
and rescuing LIVE people -- both operations could be happening at the same time. In my not so humble opinion.

There just isn't a valid excuse to leave bodies unattended -- while there were so many individuals with appropriate training who wanted to help.

Apparently neither Chertoff nor Brown were in charge of the disaster reaction & recovery of Katrina -- seems like it was being run out of the White House.

AND Cheney's office (or Cheney himself?) was involved in demanding that power be restored to a pipeline Colonial Pipeline Co.-- and in the process the electricity to the hospitals was cut.
