I would like to call for a minute of silence....
Not to pray but...

But to think about what has happened in the last couple of weeks and to contemplate the wisest path to follow in the future. And to remember all our brothers and sisters who lost everything in this disaster, including their lives. Just a minute to think about what we are holding within our own hearts.

Just a minute to remember the strength and wrath of nature and to ask if there really is a "why"? Since we cannot comprehend why it would happen, we simply dismiss even the possibility of a "why". So we turn inward. If we could find just one person to blame it on, it would give some meaning to the "why".

But we fight with ourself, the ying and yang, to try and comprehend it all. We are so small. How could we even begin to understand? Our thoughts were scattered by the strong winds as if they were scattered debris. We rush to gather them before they disappear and are lost to eternity.

Just a minute to thank each and every one of you for your contribution in gathering these treasures called thoughts...

4. You're absolutely right!
Trying to find one person upon which to blame things ISN'T the answer. Thank you for your post and kind, sensible thoughts!
