The Bush Spin has No Merit
I'm sick of hearing from the few remaining bush die-hards that anyone other than his administration is responsible for the slow response to the Katrina disaster.

First of all, the homeland security department was created to alleviate any responsibility of a major disaster, terrorist or natural, from the state and local governments. FEMA was changed from an important cabinet level position with an independent budget to a subsidiary of HLS and a reduced budget.

Weren't we told that every response to a catastrophe was a federal response. Wasn't Bush's strength that the Feds would protect us? Didn't he tout his disaster prowess during the Hurricanes that hit Florida in '04. Funny, he didn't share too much credit with the Mayors of the affected cities in Florida then. It was all about the Bush brothers.

My point is, if we are to feel safe from a disaster, man made or natural, we need the action of the Feds, especially the military. Can you imagine this scenario. God forbid a dirty bomb hits any city in the U.S. Does the Bush administration sit and wait for "permission" from the mayor or town council in that city before it reacts. Of course not.

That's how silly the President's apologists are when using the line that local governments are responsible for a response to a disaster like Katrina.

As time passes, that argument will look more and more silly, and have less and less credibility.

2. They are moral inferiors
Sociopaths,abusers of trust and power..

THey will spin and spin until someone knocks them down. Because to admit ones own wrongdoing to a sociiopath implies weakness that they are losers and they will die rather than be ashamed because they think they are unable to be wrong...THey are sociopaths every one of them THey are morally inferior people..That is thier problem it's thier whole personality/identity it's whjo they are that is thier problem So we must MAKE SURE we keep the responsibility for failure where it belongs on THEM.

6. Since when has this been about merit
There are tens of millions of blowhards in the cult who just say what they are told. They aren't agraid to get in people's faces, and push their shit all over town.

This has never been about merit.

8. There are so many diehards left here.
The thing is, there's no reaching these people. They don't care about the facts. These are the people who believe Clinton took more vacation time than Bush. They're not curious in the least to find out the truth.

They look silly, but these idiots vote, and I don't think anything can be done about it if they refuse the facts.

9. After I get angry
with someone like that, and make them look ridiculous about their position, their response is "everyone has a right to his own opinion."

I reply "Sure, everyone has a right to his own opinion, but not his own facts",
