Edwards Says Bush Does Not Know How To Manage The People's Money
Senator John Edwards (D-NC) released the following statement today in response to reports that the federal deficit is growing to record levels:

"The president's economic policies are like quicksand - they keep sucking the nation deeper and deeper into debt. The reason deficits are growing and hard-working Americans' property taxes and sales taxes are going up is because this president doesn't know how to manage the people's money.

"When something doesn't work, you change it. That's not the Washington way, but it's the American way of getting things done. This president wants to keep his economic policies in place because he thinks they're working. I want to change these destructive policies so that our economy puts people back to work and values the work they do every day."

Good "quicksand" comparison. Rescue us, John Edwards.

1. His wording reminds me of both Clinton and Gore in 1992.
I remember hearing the same 'plain English' remarks about the economy from them in '92. It worked then and it can work in 2004!

Go, John, GO!!!!! :bounce:

5. Edwards starts the 12-step program
With all the bad economic news in today's paper, the administration was carrying on in its dysfunctional way, acting as though this were the path to economic growth and prosperity.

This is a no-brainer. Bush couldn't find his own backside with the assistance of Sherlock Holmes and a team of proctologists, and he sure as hell can't follow, form, or understand good economic policies. THROW HIS ASS OUT!

7. Bush is addicted to OPiuM. Can be seen by his history
in business as well as politics, where he embraces "crony capitalism" and sending voters tax money to his and his friends pockets.

Yep, that's right! He's addicted to OPiuM. Other People's Money!
