Is it only me who noticed?
That Tropical Storm Maria will hit Iceland by Monday? That before hitting Iceland it will be a Hurricane again closed to the Northern coast of Canada/Southern Greenland? <http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/refresh/graphics_at4+shtml/050005.shtml?5day?large>
I have never heard of a TROPICAL STORM that high in that area. What is this supposed to mean... a TROPICAL SYSTEM in the NORTH POLE??? :wtf: :freak: :scared:  :yoiks:

5. Check out TS Nate
It might get to Europe... and at some point it will be near TS Maria. I'll like to know how transatlantic flights will make it here when they usually fly over Iceland? Will they go further north?

4. The Atlantic is weird this year
But it is often weird. Global warming is real, this may be related. It may not. But the Atlantic is wild this year. That we can say with certainty.

8. It's projected to be extra-tropical within 12 hours
so while that path is where the remnants of the system are going, it won't be a hurricane or tropical storm much longer. The use of the H and the S on the map to indicate wind speed is misleading, but this event isn't unusual.

9. Serious?!
Thanks for pointing that out. I hadn't heard a thing. But it's bad news.. despite what people may think, people live there... and they don't live in conditions that can withstand a hurricane.

10. Holy crap!

I hadn't heard that... I wonder what effect that will have on the flow of deep cold water...

I remember reading somewhere about how water currents in the Atlantic and Pacific have huge effects on the weather. I read somewhere that interference with the flows can trigger severe global changes...

Thanks for the heads up on this!

Edited for spelling...

11. "Global Warming" is JUNK SCIENCE!!! It NEEDS MORE STUDY!
Of course, something like "intelligent design", that doesn't have any evidence to back it up, whatsoever, MUST BE TREATED AS PERFECTLY LEGITIMATE SCIENCE.
