Why has Dick Morris turned against the Clintons?
I've just finished his book "Behind the Oval Office". All through the book he was appreciative and positive about the talents of both Bill and Hillary.

To me, Dick was part of the right-wing-freak-show but I wanted to understand his current views. This book did not help one bit. He seemed like a Clinton fan.

Can anyone help me with this cunundrum?

10. That makes him a complete mercenary!
It seems as though he has even abandoned his cherished polling philosophy. In other words, he is now prepared to sell ice to the Eskimos.

4. He goes which ever way the wind is blowing
As Bush's numbers decline don't be surprised to see him starting to distance himself from the White House, but I don't see him embracing the Clintons again.

prostitutes that got this "dick" in trouble. From that point on he tried to distance himself from the Clintons. Not to mention he backstabbed them while Clinton was President.

15. Remember that scene in Godfather II?

Sen. Pat Geary, who had shown his personal, though hypocritical, disgust with Michael Corleone and his "whole fuckin' family," is framed in a rather nasty slaying of a hooker he was shacked up with at, oddly enough, one of the brothels owned by Fredo Corleone. Tom Hagen comes by to reassure the sobbing, naked-'cept-for-a-bedsheet lawmaker that there's nothing to worry about; from this point on it's all about their friendship. Afterwards, the Senator becomes a loyal, faithful lapdog for the Corleone family.

Somehow, I imagine that, while there are no dead hookers in the scenario (but how would we know at this point, right?), something vaguely similar belies the friendship between Morris and the Consoviets.

6. he isn't really a political partisan, more interested in himself
and the money, prostitutes and whatever else he wants to get.

his motives are all based on how he profits personally. it's not about any political beliefs.

if a Dem offered him more money he would switch again.

Carville and other Dems begged Clinton to get rid of him but Clinton kept him on until the stuff on his sex life came out. he always got in a fight with Carville, Stephanopoulos, and others in the Clinton administration.

8. He was the only fish to take the $$$$$ bait!
I am sure the RW dangled a few dollars in the face of many of the Clinton Administration. He was the only one gullible enough to take the bait. I hear him on FAUX SNOOZE all of the time, trashing Bill and Hillary. If they wer that bad, why didn't he quit?

9. The humiliation he felt over his own toe sucking and stiffing of whores
having been exposed.

So humiliated, he decided to humiliate, and earn his living trying to humiliate his former employers, by selling his soul to the right wing media machine.

Now he has no existence outside of their bizarro world.

11. He's a slimey little money whore
got caught cheating on wife, got divorced, got bitter, and then tried to rise as a man of morals and sell Bill out by writing a smarmy expose. Now he plays right wing court-fool- jester.

19. Well said.
The bitter part really stands out. He probably fantasized about being the Big Dog. Thought he was smarter than Bill. Believed that if the public ever realized how powerful he really was, that he would be adored. Instead, he was treated like the "court-fool-jester." You hit the nail on the head.

What's funny is that he thought he could translate his bitterness into a position of power in the republican party. Instead, he is the bitter clown of Fox news.
