He is being kicked upstairs to some DC desk jockey work.

4. Probably for a week or so until his family insists that he needs
to spend more time with them. Doing it all in one swoop would be accepting the blame, you see...

5. If he does "retire" or "resign to spend time w/ family"
I think it will hurt the administration's credibility (such as it is) even more. Because even a kool-aid drinker will know that he's really going because of the anger over the "heck of a job" he did.

If Bush gets rid of him without being upfront about that, everyone will see the difference between what Bush says and reality.

And even more people will begin to ask themselves, "if he's not being straight about this, what about all the other stuff he's said over the years?"

THAT is the one question BushCo CANNOT afford to have people asking.

6. Chertoff washes hands of turdie
further efforts effectively turned over to the Army and Navy, with Vice Adm. Allen and Gen. Honore in charge.

You know, when the sound of Arabian hoofs appear in the distance it's time for all turdies to get to work for Kellog Root and Brown as a lobbyist.

I bet Brown will join Joe Allbaugh at KRB

7. And Joe Lieberman, who controlled the committee first vetting Brown,
"And Joe Lieberman, who controlled the committee first vetting Brown, gave the nominee high praise and pushed him through after less than an hour of questioning.

The wingers wanted this to be a bipartisan disaster. Good for Lieberman to oblige them."

8. Brown say's: anxious to go home and correct the lies..
He may be gone but he is still swinging- just heard on msnbc, no link yet.

Check out Talking points blog:

" Michael Brown's non-dismissal dismissal is a day late and a dollar short.... The responsibility for putting a nincompoop in charge of federal disaster relief doesn't rest with the nincompoop. It goes right to the top ---"

http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/

The blogosphere will go wild with this for a while.

taxpayers' money to do a job he is unfit for.
