Lowest so far:
President Bush's job approval was at 39 percent, the lowest point since AP-Ipsos began measuring public approval of Bush in December 2003.

1. Yesterday the Zogby poll had him at 41%
Zogby, Pew, Gallup, Harris, and now AP-Ipsos have all had him in the range of 39-41% over the past week.

Bush's Approval Rating in Zogby Poll Falls to 41%, All-Time Low

Sept. 8 (Bloomberg) -- President George W. Bush's overall job approval rating in the Zogby America poll slumped to a record low as three-fifths of Americans criticized the government's response to Hurricane Katrina.

Forty-one percent of respondents in the poll taken Sept. 6- 7gave Bush positive marks for his job performance, down from 45 percent in a July 30 survey and 50 percent in mid-February. Bush got negative marks from 59 percent of respondents, up from 55 percent in July and 50 percent in February in the poll.

3. Once he's in the 30s in a couple of the polls for a few weeks...
... there may be a piling-on effect, since so many bloody Americans, the great individualists, like to be on the winning team, like everybody else, etc.

Bush could quickly drop to the low 30s. (Though I doubt he'll far much further, due to hardcore christofascist support.)

7. Diebold - ES&S - Sequoia
It's good to be the ones that counts the votes - even better if your buddies own the major media.

5. that really means he's at 5-10% due to the fact that at least 1/3
of the country will love Bush even if he starts putting babies on spikes (hello to all you Izzard fans out there). Moderates and independents hate the job he's doing now, much like we've hated the job he's been doing for years.
