Rage, Rage Rage
Points of rage

• Ethnic cleansing in my Country
• Eighty Percent flooded and eighty percent black population
• Incompetence and disinterest of the Federal Government
• Psych-Ops proposed control of pictures of the dead
• Calling American Citizens refugees, displaced people, the disadvantaged, and “those people”
• The governor of Mississippi saying how wonderful FEMA is. Contrast with Louisiana
• Brushing off offers of aide from other countries
• Shipping folks to hell hole Texas, where they can be controlled and monitored
• No mention of criminal negligence and the judicial consequence thereof
• Fox news looking like a crass reality show entitled “flood” Don’t worry, this isn’t real
• Entries at Free Republic reflecting on a righteous god’s (small case intended) wrath on New Orleans
• The thought that this administration is going to get away with this

Thank you, I feel much better now

1. Ya know, I really take issue with calling Texas a "hell hole"
You can piss all over us if you want, but the truth is, Texans have opened their state and their hearts to 250,000 Louisiana residents.

As someone who lives here and who has watched the generosity first hand, your comment is deeply offensive.

2. Thank you! I'm Texan by choice, born & rasied Chicago Democrat,
and I'll say this: Texas is not "the south", it is more "the West", and if I was hard up I'd rather be here than anywhere I know. The people are very generous and kind. We were once our own little country & don't think we've forgotten it! Furthermore, Houston is a very cosmopolitan city--a real "salad bowl".

4. Well, I live in Texas, too, and can tell you
in August it would be hard to distinguish the temperature from that in Hell. And I can assure that the rumor was true that the Devil himself summered this year near Waco.

3. I agree!!!
I am guilty of guilt by association. I'm sure that the good people of Texas are doing their best to help, but I have no trust in the goodwill of the Government there. Give me a break, this was written to reflect rage.

5. Oh I've got your rage!
I just keep hoping for one of our great F5 twisters to sweep across the prairie chapel pig farm at just the right time. If it should happen I'll know there really is a god, repent, and go str8!

6. I was born and raised in Tx. but have lived in CA for 18 years and
consider CA my home. You'd be hard pressed to find me taking up for some Texans...HOWEVER, NOT ALL TEXANS ARE GEORGE BUSH - HE WAS BORN IN CONN. and USES Texas to try to conjure up a good guy cowboy image. My brother and sister live in Houston. My brother has worked around the clock volunteering at the Astrodome since this fiasco began (He was a casulty of Enron and lost EVERYTHING himself). Let's not forget Molly Ivans, Jim Hightower and Ann Richards are Texans. Texans are some of the greatest people I know. Yes, there are many redneck assholes there. But believe me, asshole exist everywhere. I see "W" bumper stickers in L.A. more often than I care to admit. Let's cut Texas and Texans some slack - Jesus Christ - it's average folks like my brother that are giving their hearts and souls right now to try to help - I don't need to hear a bunch of bullshit about the folks that ARE trying to do something.
