revealing how early cable news exaggerated the accounts of rape, looting and murder. An estranged sister just send me an editorial from an online rag called TIA Daily blaming "the welfare state" for the aftermath and I need to fight her on this one. Anyone?

1. I hate to say this, but I am not sure they were all that exaggerated. The

folks talking to Oprah about life in the Superdome said it was pretty bad as far as lawlessness.
