8. hate to say it, but....

His speech at the convention was brilliant, and he appeared to be a rising star. But he hasn't done a darned thing significant since then. I was in awe of the man, but please, someone prove me wrong and show me where he is actually affecting anything. It seems like he's riding off the coattails of one well performed speech. I hope to be proven wrong on this really. Gimme some mojo on this one, please.

10. Obama made a speech on the Senate

Floor yesterday afternoon. In my opinion, his was the best of all the Dems who spoke yesterday. He's going to get them for their failures on Katrina.

Barbara Boxer spoke this morning on the Senate Floor. I think she tied him. She was excellent.

Senator Kennedy has spoken twice already. So far, I have not heard or seen -- on the Senate Floor -- Senators Kerry, Clinton, Lieberman, Biden, Feinstein. Evan Bayh finally spoke this morning.
