Chuck E. Cheese and the Pentagon: Babes in Warland
Edited on Wed Sep-07-05 12:54 PM by rox63
:wtf: :mad: :puke:

They are playing military promotional videos to toddlers and their parents at Chuck E. Cheese. I can't f*cking believe this!!!

Boycott these f*ckers, and tell people about this.

<snip>

If you have never been to Chuck E. Cheese, it is a mix of carnival and play park, with so-so pizza, lots of video games, coin operated kiddie rides, and arcade games like ski ball. The place is designed for 2- to 10-year-olds, with occasional adults playing the games. There is even a designated play area for babies. I was escorting 4 little boys for the evening, to free their parents for a night out without the children.

<snip>
Then my jaw dropped: the MTV segment shifted to a promotional piece compiled by the Department of Defense! The promo showed happy, smiling soldiers in Iraq handing out toys and candies to delighted children. This was followed by a series of scenes showing war planes, tanks and more happy soldiers. This production lasted for 5 minutes of the 15-minute CEC TV show. Throughout the segment, the large animated puppets' eyes shifted toward the TV as they nodded in approval and clapped. Then their eyes shifted back to the children, who were spellbound by the movie.

Several telephone calls I made to Chuck E. Cheese headquarters were not answered. Finally reaching someone at the local outlet, one of over 500 company owned and operated locations, I learned that the CEC TV show was a regular part of the offerings at all CEC sites and that it was run a number of times during each day.

Time for everyone to send letters to the CEO of CEC that a boycott is appropriate until they stop this kind of crap. Richard M. Frank is the Chairman of the Board and CEO. Mike H. Magusiak is the President. Richard T. Huston is the Executive VP of Marketing.

3. Uh what?
Little children? Disgusting. If I had a little child I would be bitching and complaining like hell and then I'd never go back there.

5. I used to work at a Chuck E.'s - and let me tell ya...
Any video that slows down the process of children begging the parental figure for more tokens/candy/over-priced concessions WILL NOT be around for long.

The best thing about Chuck E. Cheese is that kids are free, no wait, encouraged to embrace sociopathy.

I remember the time someone's precious crumb snatcher punched out a dookie in the corner of Mr. Munches Madhouse. Can you imagine the permanent scarring that occurred on the poor teenage worker who had to draw the curtain back on the Madhouse, slowly crawl in, fighting the fearful effects of the music and the strobe light, and do battle with a demon loaf with a plastic bag and a spatula?

I would if I wouldn’t have ran screaming to the punch clock and gotten the hell out of there.

And then there was the time the word spread that some kid took a shit in the ball room.

I didn’t know who Joe Rogan was at that time, and Fear Factor probably hadn’t even been a thing considered for prime time TV outside of Japan, but now I can clearly picture TV’s Joe Rogan standing on the ledge of the Chuck E. Cheese kid’s ball playground next to three sports bra wearing 20-somethings, each holding a roll of paper towels and a jug of Windex; “OK… Mindy, Candy, Desiree – after the sex with corpses stunt, you are our final three Fear Factory finalists! How many crap covered balls do you think you can clean in 4 hours?”

Again, the horror, the horror of such an event would have to be witnessed first hand in order for it to be fully appreciated by all five of the human senses. I would have experienced it too if I wouldn’t have run screaming to the punch clock and gotten the hell out of there.

Chuck E.’s: Where a kid can be a kid, and go to the bathroom wherever.
