...right on schedule, according to my Old Farmer's Almanac. :)

There are still a few things you can count on. 2+2 still equals about four.

8. The American people
Edited on Tue Sep-06-05 08:43 PM by Patsy Stone
are stronger and better than this government. The spirit of New Orleans will rise again and it will be a party we won't soon forget when it does.

If there is a higher power, karma, a heaven or hell, these people will pay for all eternity. If there isn't, the records of these days will live forever as a black mark and the lowest point in our history. No one will remember who was the head of FEMA, but everyone will know who was president.

How's that?

13. Pretty much EVERY person I've encountered can NOT believe,...
,...the "inability" of this leadership to address a national tragedy.

In other words, EVERYONE is stunned that their country has failed, horrifically, to take care of fellow Americans.

14. Please remind them
that it wasn't the country, it was the leadership. The people who wanted to help, set off to help. The government stood in the way of saving the citizens.

20. Heard an atheist once on in interview on Chicago radio station
When asked if there were any true words in the bible he replied:
"yes, (cited verse) And this, too, shall pass" I always think of that when things look bleak and out of control.

22. Mei Is Comfortable With Den Cleaning
September 6: Mei Is Comfortable With Den Cleaning

Mei Xiang and the cub continue to do fabulously. We continue to try to weigh and train Mei Xiang while she is away from the cub and increase our daily management activities. Mei is consistently carrying bamboo into the den, which requires our entering the den to remove old bamboo. She is comfortable with this and watches us calmly through the window in the den door.

AND - baby is getting soooo big.
