Latest Bush gaffe- it's a doozy!
I think Mr. Bush is going to freaking crack!

Here's the link:

http://www.newsday.com/news/nationworld/nation/ny-usbush0715,0,2429697.story?coll=ny-top-headlines

Here is a look at the last two paragraphs:

Begin
In his session with journalists after a meeting with United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan, Bush asserted incorrectly that "we gave him a chance to allow the inspectors in, and he wouldn't let them in. And therefore, after a reasonable request, we decided to remove him from power ... "

In fact, Hussein allowed UN weapons inspectors to return to Iraq last fall after a four-year absence; Bush launched the war after claiming that the inspections were ineffectual.

1. He really has no reason to be in The White House...
The Bush family is not, contrary to their beliefs, genetically predisposed to leadership. Only robbing the poor and giving it all to the rich. That's all...

the man is obviously delusional. He is dealing with such fictitious material all day that he can't distinguish between reality and propaganda anymore.

Incoming Rant sfeld.

Iraq Never Did This To Us.

Preemption SHOULD be reevaluated to register as...

THE GREATEST OF WAR CRIMES!

We should be ashamed of ourselves for giving Bush the Power to Preempt

Good Christians?

And we ask...and we have the flocking NERVE to ask...WHYDOTHEYhateUS?

They dont hate us...they hate our BULLY holier than thou ARROGANT preemptive FOREIGN POLICY.

But as long as the generals rule we will continue to preempt and they will continue to hate. The generalhawks are the root of this problem and they dont care if we win or lose or if one soldier gets killed a day or ten soldiers get killed a day as long as congress keeps sending them BILLIONS AND BILLIONS in CONTRACTS to build more arms and stockpile more weapons to kill more terrorists!

All this terror all over the world from Bosnia to Gaza to Srilanka to Kashmir to Mosul to Kabul to Mindanao to East Timor would actually end if governments thought long term and gave these freedomfighterrorists what they want which is mostly a socio economic problem that calls for basic basic human rights.

But doing so would put the generals out of business.Presidents (puppets) may come and go but the generals remain. And the generals rule today..unfortunately..from Sharon to Musharraf.

Instead of truly reassessing our FIASCO in IRAQ...and finding a way out of this mess Wolfowitz and the Carlyle Cabal PROMISED US would be a cake walk...instead of trying to figure out a gaddamn way out of this hell hole...ClosetGeneral REDRUM_SFELD WANTS TO US TO SEND MORE TROOPS to Iraq!

More sitting/killing ducks?

Thats JUST what redum wants! Adding fuel to the fire!

Are we going to let Bush get awaay with it?

Where is the OUTRAGE from the families of the troops?
Is THIS what we bargained for brothers and sisters?
Sending our sons and daughters to die for Oilymocracy?
Did we send our sons to die for Greater Israel?
Do we TRULY believe Sharon is a man of peace?

Did we really think we were just going to go into Iraq bomb the hell out of the place and killiberrate almost 10,000 innocent iraqis and IMPOSE OUR 300 year old democracy on a 6,000 year old civilization IN 3 WEEKS and just waltz out of there by Christmas? What were we thinKing?

And we want to send troops to Liberia? And we want to attack Syria and Iran and NoKorea? Are we nuts?

TOO MANY MOVIES. WE have bin watching too many movies.

VOTE TO IMPEACH the MURDERERS.

Yes murderers!

Not chimp not moron not idiot not ashhole not dumb...MURDERER.

We have to make them all accountable for their CRIMES somehow if we are ever to regain our country back by the ruling military and truly work towards total global nuclear disarmament and NOT NUCLEAR PREEMPTION.

impeach now or forever hold your mouse!

DONT JUST SIT THERE...click here and vote!

End rantsfeld.

Edited on Tue Jul-15-03 05:39 PM by Paschall
Was that his "reasonable request" that Saddam to get out of Dodge in 48 hours? Reasonable my ass!

But as to Shrub's other big lie, did he forget the destruction of the Samoud missiles, or what? I mean who can forget this...

Blix: Iraq carrying out substantial disarmament

UNITED NATIONS (AP) -- In a key report before the U.N. Security Council, chief weapons inspector Hans Blix on Friday welcomed Iraq's "proactive" cooperation with his teams but didn't declare Iraq free of weapons of mass destruction.

His counterpart, nuclear chief Mohamed ElBaradei, made his strongest statement yet in support of Iraqi cooperation. ...

Blix noted that Iraq is now providing inspectors with proactive cooperation, something he had asked for repeatedly through the winter.

But he said that even with continued cooperation from Iraq, it will take some time to ensure that Iraq has carried out key remaining disarmament tasks which he intends to present to the Security Council later this month.

"It will not take years, nor weeks, but months," he said, stressing that even after this is completed, Iraq should be subject to ongoing inspections and monitoring of its facilities.

and got this response from her today:

Wow. I completely missed this. Thanks

Marie Cocco
Newsday Washington Bureau

Think she passed it on to her compatriot there?? I am flying so high on this. I was so pissed yesterday after I heard it and no one mentioned it that I blasted it to every reporter I could think of and now most of them have begun to pick it up. I just found that Josh Marshall has it, too.

I feel POWERFUL!!!!!!

17. One of own caught this yesterday
I think DU had it's own exclusive on this:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=104&topic_id=43081&mesg_id=43081&page=4

I sent it off to Salon and Conason did a piece today. And from the looks of this link, the story is gaining traction. It was also covered by informationclearinghouse. Anybody see it anywhere else? I think we should all write letters to all the major media about this -- this is simply not a mistake that our Prez should make -- I mean if he's going to take us to war, he ought to at least remember the circumstances leading up to that war. Or has he cracked completely?
