I gave them an earfull! I said "This is not about partisan politics. This is about patriotism. Period." OMG! I just lost it. I asked what we would do (heaven forbid) if we were faced with a crisis of this magnitude...natural or otherwise. The guy was advocating looking into NO and the failures 6 months from now! I asked him what we'd do if something happened along our coast line within that time frame? I told him that I wanted to know that the MILITARY VESSEL ordered to follow a HURRICANE wasn't given STAND DOWN ORDERS! I wanted to be able to have full confidence in my government. I wanted to know that the thousands of generous, caring, brave Americans LINED UP FOR MILES would be allowed in to help and assist IMMEDIATELY! UGH......................

I also told him that nobody has demanded ACCOUNTABILITY from these treasonous thugs! NOBODY! He asked me what I wanted from him. I said, simply, "The truth, sir. The Truth!"

Peace.

8. It's not a frikkin game. You can't screw up that big and not be held...
...to account.

If the Federal response had merely been slow (12-24 hours), there would be room to quibble about "Monday morning quarterbacking". But here, the quarterback wasn't even fit for the peewee leagues, and there's just no hiding it.

Who was the last president to lose an American city? When would that have been? When Washington was burned in the war of 1812?

10. Anderson Cooper nailed that on Bill Maher's show last Friday.
"You know, all these politicians all this week are saying, “Well, you know what? This is not the time to point fingers; this is not the time to, you know, quibble about things.” Well, you know what? When is the time, because I'm happy to write it down in my engagement book. And make an appointment, because, to me, the time is now, when the world is watching."
