FEMA wanted to kick the Vets in Covington out, RED CROSS said NO WAY!
Edited on Mon Sep-05-05 12:23 PM by anarchy1999
would not let them!

This was sent to me from one of the Arlington West Vets in California. I have to tell you, all these guys are absolutely amazing. It is going to be our Vets that are going to lead the charge to take our country back and I'm going to stand right behind them every step of the way!
Peace,
anarchy1999

Hi All,

I just spoke to Gordon who had celphone...he was going in to NO to get more
refugees. He said that FEMA tried to move them out but the Red Cross said
that if the VFP crew left, they were going as well. Gordon, Patrick and
Dennis are providing vital assistance to both the Red Cross and the greater
community! Ward Reilly is providing the vital link.

Here is the latest:

1. Please contact Procter & Gamble folks
And ask that the world's largest manufacturer of baby diapers to send TRUCKLOADS to the Red Cross!

Here's a portion of the pertinent page from the P&G website:
We've made an initial contribution of one million dollars in combined cash and product donations to the American Red Cross and America's Second Harvest. The Iams Company also plans to provide food for sheltered animals and strays. We will contribute more as we gain a better understanding of what's needed.

We are in frequent, daily contact with the American Red Cross and America's Second Harvest to understand what we can do to help the larger community and be guided by them in making future contributions. This is the principle we follow in every disaster.

Summing up, P&G will be there to help as the survivors of this terrible tragedy begin to put their lives back together.

This guys and gals are all simply wonderful people.

I stand behind each and everyone of them and will back them 100% all the way. Our Vets For Peace are this nation's saving grace.

along with all the other organizations.

IVAW, GSFP, MFSO, and the list just keeps getting longer and I know I've left many out. NION is one, VIPS is another and just think of all the whistleblowers!

17. HERE IS HOW TO DONATE:

On September 2, 2005 the Veterans for Peace Bus from Mendocino County, CA took a detour to help the victims of hurricane Katrina. We arrived in Covington, LA with food and supplies that Camp Casey had sent from Crawford, Texas.

For Tour Schedule, Real News and more on the Veterans For Peace Roadtrips visit the rest of our web site. LINK> VETERANS FOR PEACE ROADTRIPS

We have set up a permanent Camp Casey at the Pine View Middle School, 1115 West 28th Avenue, Covington, LA. We are using the school to support Veterans For Peace hurricane relief efforts for the people of the region. We are supporting The Red Cross with power, medical supplies, kitchen
service, food bank and distribution, internet communications and trained medical personnel.

21. Oh good heavens, thank you all!! Finally the thread is getting some
attention. I stand behind these guys 100%! What a treat. They are there first on the scene, in the red, white and blue, impeachment tour bus and FEMA wants to kick them out. Red Cross says if they go we go!

This is a very rich story to be told.

I just wish all of you knew the guys on the ground as I do. They are passionate and incredibly patriotic!
