Is the price of gasoline still rising?
When I parked my car last night (tank almost empty) the cheapest I saw was $2.99, with far more stations at $3.09 and more (Regular). I haven't been out all day, and was wondering if the price was still going up due to the disaster/holiday. (I'm in eastern Dallas.)

If not, wake me when it stops. I ain't goin' out unless I have to.

For about four days now in central Oklahoma (OKC). But we get our oil from the three refineries here and several more in West Texas.

5. It was holding steady in northern Arkansas
yesterday, the first day all week that the price didn't rise at least once during the day. Every station save one was at $2.99-the BP was at $3.09 and had no takers.

6. Don't let your tank get that low at this time....
IMO, because any second there could be a major shortage and you won't be able to get anywhere. I am not filling my car at this point (to save money), but I'm trying to keep it at or above half.

To answer your question directly, here where I am in NJ it went from 3.17 yesterday to 3.29 today. Still going up.

7. The largest producer in MI promised to keep it at $2.99
which seems to have brought everyone down from the $3.35 I saw earlier in the week.

8. $3.39/$3.49/$3.59 is the avg for the 3 grades of gas in NYC ....
Edited on Sat Sep-03-05 04:33 PM by hadrons
some are in the low $3.00 range and some are in the high $3.00 range (one station had $3.69 for regular unleaded and $3.99 for their supreme, but quicked lowered their priced by a quarter - one station by accident put $2.00 instead of $3.00 on their signs and very quickly changed it) .... this is upper Manhattan and the Bronx, I'm sure there are stations in lower Manhattan much more costly

9. Is that all!? It's $3.60 in Chicago's South Side!!
I'm not sure what the price of gas is in predominantly white middle- upper- class neighborhoods in Chicago, but on the south side, in my own mixed (black, white, latino) & middle-class neighborhood gas prices are between $3.50 & $3.60 for premium. There were even a few stations reporting they were out of regular gas by Friday night.
