2. It implies that we're broke.
Which we are. Which Georgie doesn't want to admit because it would be HIS fault.

7. isn't this sickening
it's the little man in a big truck syndrome!
But it's too late, we are already being looked at as lame ducks.
We have created a world where the U.S. is hated and now this bastard has shown them that "supposedly" it takes 6 fucking days to bring in helicopters and buses............ food and water.

We're not only lame ducks.....we're sitting ducks.

sickening!

1000 personal and tons of relief supplies.

Edited to add:

Canadian warships to sail to Louisiana

Three Canadian warships, a coast guard vessel and three Sea King helicopters will be sent to Louisiana on Tuesday with relief supplies for the U.S. Gulf Coast.

"We will have the capacity to move people. We'll have the capacity to bring medical supplies and fuel capabilities," McFadden said as he stood on the dock next to destroyer HMCS Athabaskan, the command and control ship for the mission. "The specific jobs we're going to do, I'll wait until the Americans tell us what help they need."

The vessels will work with the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard and carry Canadian Forces personnel, some of them military engineers who might be able to help restore power and generate electricity.

About 40 navy divers from both coasts were also expected to deploy with the mission, which got clearance after American officials accepted a Canadian offer of help.

6. Accepting foreign aid would be admission that we don't have enough
resources to handle it. And that would beg the question, "why not"? And that question would be answered with, "because they're all in Iraq for some unexplained reason".

8. I don't understand why the Richest Country in the World should
need foreign aid, though I think it is generous of other Countries to offer it.

I would exept special equipment or trained personell - even the US might need additions to those in a disaster of such scope.

What else do we pay taxes for? What else is our Goverment's resources for? What "aid" in this Disaster could the tax cuts for the Rich have paid for?

We don't need Foreign Aid, we need a real, responsible government.
