Just heard on scanner in New Orleans
Just heard that they were holting delivery of MREs and water to the Superdome because of the danger there. The person delivering couldn't believe it and started swearing up and down about making the delivery. People are still not getting food and water. Thought things were finally getting better. This is bullshit!!

Evacuees at Cajundome wait for first lady, and for lunch
Jan Risher -- Friday, September 2, 2005
jrisher@theadvertiser.com

As the first lady toured the Red Cross shelter at the Cajundome this morning, a line of evacuees waiting to eat their lunch trickled out the door of the Dome.

First lady Laura Bush arrived about midday to tour the shelter and meet evacuees.

By 12:50 p.m., the trays of food were still covered and hungry evacuees stood in line, holding empty plates. Rice, beans and jambalaya were on the menu. About that time, volunteers began rolling the carts of food into position to serve.

7. Thanks Bob!!
I am at work right and will listen all day.

I used to complain about having to work on Saturdays...My outlook has changed. I am happy to be alive today, and happy to have a job, a home and a family that is safe...I said it after 9/11 and I am reaffiriming today that I will never complain about little things again.

5. Why is this happening? I don't understand why they can't deliver..
food, water, medical and other supplies. Is anyone giving an explanation for this? What is the danger. How many more people are going to die because of this.

25. IMHO, this is the problem with stupid people thinking...
If the deliveries were stopped I'd bet a steak dinner that it's because some manager thinks everyone is going to be evacuated so there is not going to be a need there.

14. I believe....
... a lot of the reason they are stopping aid from reaching NO is because they want people to leave and are afraid if the aid arrives, it will prolong the length of time people are able to stay there. In other words, they do not want to provide incentive for people to stay.
They want everyone out!

18. That was the Conv. Ctr., wasn't it? Not the Superdome.
Superdome should be all but emptied now.

Were troops being called back to the airport for an arrival by Kindasleazy?
