4. I thought the same thing.
New Orleans, I never got to see you. I was going to come in December for the first time (for my 40th b-day). Now you are gone thanks to Bush and his evil minions.

6. I got to see New Orleans just once. I was there in '95 for a weekend.
Took a ride on a Steamboat, had a couple of hurricanes at Pat O'Brien's, rode a trolley and had a wonderful time. I'm glad I got to go.

10. I am not gone
my former roommate KamaAina graciously let me post this. The only way I will be gone is if Bush**co force it to be so. Otherwise I will be back, before your 45th, anyway...

Sincerely,
New Orleans

5. I'm so sorry for your struggle. My blood pressure has been so high
since Tuesday that I now have a tic in my left eye. I'm cleaning out closets for clothes to give to the victims coming into Ft. Chaffe Arkansas.

7. i agree in hope:
all the best artists have drawn from the dense spiritland that is new orleans--dear tennessee williams among them--and one should NOT disturb the graves of the dead who have strong attitudes--and these spirits surely know what really has led to this monstrous event, and surely know why their loving living are themselves dying to rot in stadiums. i say, look out! if you are evil: lotsa sacred magic is unleashed and the southern dead are righteously pissed.

8. THe Ritz Carolton was evacuted with 300 rich white poeple
they were given buses to leave and in an interview... I will never forget her name -Phyilis Peytrich- and the rich 300 were escorted by armed gaurds out of NO. The Ritz was running out supplies, She actually had to walk 4 whole blocks through sewage to her ARMED buses.Poor thing shes now safely in Baltimore God can I possible hate these people more?

9. New Orleans is the new Boston
that ain't tea in those go-cups, either, chere! Long Island iced tea, maybe...

Seriously, N.O. is where I first started to participate actively in the movement: pro-choice and clinic defense, mainly. (See my snarky posts on the "N.O. is abortion-free" thread.) I'd be overjoyed at this point to see y'all become the New American Patriots!
