3. right!
We need to get water and food to these people. Not all of the water has receded but we can drop it in populated areas with letters or instructions on where to head.

8. Drop the bottled water ! It will float anyway...

There's no excuse for every street in NO to be filled with bottles of water.

4. Makes you wonder what they are waiting for
The people look like they have been paitent but a starving family isn't going to remain paitent. They have brewed up a nice little food riot if the food ever gets there. This whole thing stinks to high heaven. I'm starting to think they are doing this on purpose.

22. I have that gut feeling also. I think they want riots to break out, or
enough people to die so they can get them off of Medicare. Just simply disgusting. Where the Hell are both Cheney's, Laura Bush, Barbara Bush, the twins (ok, if they'll help in NO then they won't have to go to Iraq). Where the Hell is Jeb? No, they want them to die.

Seriously, these people needed supplies since day one. The military should have been in there with water right away.

11. Question:drop 10 bottles of water into a crowd of 30 people.
Will they share or will there be a riot with the strongest surviving? Don't yell at me, I want them to drop water and more and more and more, but I have been wondering how to manage this part of it also.

13. This is a solved problem.
When dropping aid, you SATURATE the area so that it is effectively worthless. No one hoards then, because hoarding is more troublesome then just waiting for another drop.

19. I know, drop more than is needed. OK, lets go with 15,000 people
can they drop enough water bottles at once to saturate the area and not have the strong cut down the weak to get them? One problem is fear, they've been abandoned and know it and will riot to get survival needs met. I am NOT SAYING don't do it, I just have been thinking of the logistics of having enough guards around to be able to offload water/food without a riot and more deaths. It has happened many times in many places around the world, I am amazed and sick that it is happening here.

21. I would drink water from a water bottle that had been passed to me
I might wipe the lip of it first, but chances of getting HIV from it are much less than getting HIV/Hep B from walking through the infested water to the astrodome or bus.

You all realize that I am intellectualizing for a bit to quiet my screaming.

25. Perhaps dangerous because of other contagious illnesses
or contamination with things floating in the water in which it landed, but sharing bottles does not put you at risk of AIDS.

>>Can I get HIV from casual contact with an infected person?

No. You do not get HIV from an HIV-infected person by playing sports, working together, shaking hands, hugging, closed-mouth kissing, breathing the same air, sharing drinking glasses, eating utensils or towels, using the same wash water or toilet, swimming in the same pool, or coming in contact with their sneezes, coughs, tears or sweat. You also don't get HIV from bug bites or by donating blood.<<

is to launch a military response. The troops are to busy carrying their weapons and standing around looking dumb to bother with trying to give people food and water.

18. Somebody on TV said it hadn't been "effective" in the past.
Unfortunately they didn't have a plan "B" for getting food and water to the dehydrating and starving people, so rather than just doing a drop they did...... nothing.

23. I saw a little girl
With a bag of cookies she must of gotten from a vending machine or something, handing out 1 cookie each to other children. I saw adults going out to get supplies (looting water and stuff) and passing it around.

It can be done.. and it can be effective. Start dropping it on rooftops were people are stranded. In areas where they are all bunched together.

26. order out of chaos
They need the chaos first to bring in the new order.

sure they could airdrop relief , hell they could have been doing that 2 days ago.

What most stupid Americans fail to understand , is that the Government are no longer servants.

They are not there to be nice.

They are there to establish the new order.

The only role of savior they intend on playing, Is to save those from the chaos they create.

This is necessary scientific method designed to keep large populations in check and dependent on them.

in short...they are not dropping aid, because they are sending a message.

28. evacution
in the 18th century, washington evacuated thousands troops in wooden boats to manhattan overnight. thousands of british troops were saved overnight at dunkirk.

we can't even evacuate and/or deliver food and water to flood victims in three days with way advanced technology in our own back yard?

this whole this is so damn disgusting. i'd love to help in some way but the propaganda is so sick that i can't decide what to do.

by the way, i didn't notice anyone in tailored suits waited for buses.

30. On Scarboro-reporter just said "authorities said they're not going to pick
those people up.they have no intention of going near those people."

Even though they were told to go to the convention center by authorities instead of the packed dome.

IMHO When those people start dying tomorrow like flies, your going to
see " Mississippi burning," in New Orleans.

32. Doesn't mean they can't drop water in
supplies.

Day 4.. Still they are not dropping supplies in. Convention Center seems to be in Dire need of food and water. Drop it so they can continue to survive while this pResident gets his head out of his ass.

I stopped by my red cross. I didn't have any cash on me but I said I am going to the Grocery store, can I get some water to donate to the Red Cross so you can get it to these people

"Of course, but there isn't anyway to get it in," She says. She was frustrated ,as was I.. but I still don't see why the National Guard and Navy copters planes can't drop it in.

Stop using the excuse you can't get supplies to them. They are piling up in areas making it easy for you to drop them in!!

NO MORE EXCUSES start dropping it in!
