anyone notice the bushco #1 talking point starting this afternoon...
I've heard Frist, Gov of Mississippi, Chertoff - all of them saying "we've never been through anything like this before" as some sort of excuse. It's crap. Crap CRAP.

10. If they'd have told us which 200 feet of levee would break
we would have moved heaven and earth to make sure it was ready.

The Corps doesn't build levees unless they expect flooding, and they don't plan for floods in Delta region without considering failure of the levees they've built.

It's just amazing to me that the Team B assholes in the WH _ALWAYS_ accept and plan for the worst case, except where American citizens are concerned.

And now in charge of a bankrupted government, Bush begs for the private sector to come up with the funds to fix the problem.

11. bush lies again, I see.
When Bush says that no one could imagine that the levees would breach or how bad things were going to be please shove this advisory in his face:

2. Remember 9/11 ??
It wasn't the same disaster, but wasn't it supposed to initiate disaster planning and emergency services?

It doesn't take much imagination to plan for the worst. The only trouble for the Republicans is that the first step is to give a damn.

7. These people are apparently clueless.....
They didn't expect planes to be used to fly into buildings.
They didn't expect chaos when they invaded Iraq.
They didn't expect the levee to break in a cat 4 hurricane.

What do they expect?
They expect their pockets to be lined with tax money perpetually.

12. Yet, when plans for the invasion of Iran are leaked
they are called contingency plans and we are told they have to have all options on the table and planned out for any possible scenario. And the scenario in New Orleans was predicted for a long, long time.

Go figure.

15. Just proves a point.......
How absolutely hideous they are at Thinking on Their Feet. They have trouble when they have to respond to a Crisis because they have no Experience at SOLVING problems, they are best at CREATING Problems. Do you think a group of men that have never been accountable for any of their mistakes has ever "learned" anything about real world stuff? I want to put a sign in my Car asking: "How do ya like your Commander now?" Or just "BU$H MU$T GO!"

16. Chertoff "double disaster"
another BS talking point. Trying to hide behind the line of what we have here is a "double disaster."

Yes, that is true but if you are trying to use that is some time of an excuse I guess we need to find a replacement for you.

Goodbye Chertoff. Next.

Is there any decent leadership anymore???

17. Do you know how fast I'd be fired for saying something like that?
Well, it would probably take a few weeks, but it would happen.

"I'm really sorry the network is down and I fucked it up even worse when I started 'fixing' it. But we've never had that sort of network failure before. I couldn't have possibly known that this would happen, and I know you pay me to think on my feet and solve problems, but I mean it, I've never seen anything like this before. I mean, the routers were told that they'd need to be operational, that they couldn't go down. I'm not sure why they decided to go down. But I know you will be thrilled, just as I am, to hear that I have decided to form a committee that will begin to study what's wrong with the network. In fact, I've named an estate attorney to head up the technical end of this network taskforce. And things may be tough for awhile, but I think the network will come back stronger than ever."

TERMINATED Post Haste.
