check it out now:

Listen to Grover Norquist

Norquist is president of Americans for Tax Reform. He's credited with helping President Bush formulate his administration's tax plan.

1. Yeah, what a gem that guy is!
Another Social Darwinian - what they don't ever say is that they're for the welfare state for the rich corporation, it's only poor people who have to live in lazzie faire capitalism.

3. Probably one of the worst interviews Terry Gross has ever had to
do. He's the kind of person who's gotten us in the mess we're in. He spoke about the "government" as if it were some kind of foreign domination. When are these people going to realize that a complex society has to have some kind of organizing principle and agent. We can't go back to tribal councils, or whatever it is they would prefer. For whatever its defects(many!), you simply cannot do away with a central government that has no function other than protecting property rights and defending us agains foreign enemies. Government is a collaboration between its citizens and the elected officials, not a crime. Give me strength . . .

5. Libertarian, my . .ss
the guy is a borderline anarchist - and arrogant, too. I can't take that "when are you going to wake up and realize you're wrong" tone of voice.

10. The minimalist government he advocates
Just military, police, courts, etc. sounds libertarian to me. I thought that was one of their main deals.

6. Does he advocate taking defense spending back to 1900 levels?
What is the Libertarian stance on defense, only enough to destroy world 5 times over not 10?

9. According to him
the reason there are 50 states is so that you can move to another if the one you're in is wasting "your" money. Want a missle shield? Move to a state that has one.
