liberals love the disaster so you can blame the weather on Bush
Just trying to get a conference call together, and I emailed a colleague and said "20 people on the line, and no 'leader', kind of like the situation in our country right now....."

He wrote back: "And you liberals must just love the disaster so you can blame the weather on Bush."

My reply: No one blames the "president" for the weather. We're blaming him for cutting funding cutting funding to the Army Corp of Engineers in Lousiana, for diverting National Guard troops to a quagmire, for decimating Clinton's wetland protections (not that it would have reversed years of erosion, but it was still a stupid move) for treating global warming as a joke, and for firing the former Republican MS congressman who headed the US Army Corp of Engineers from 10/01 to 3/02 for publically criticizing Bush administration cuts to the Corp's budget.

I also blame him for a jaw-dropping lack of leadership on this one. I don't like Rudy Guiliani, but at least the people of New York knew their mayor was right there in the trenches with them, and not raising funds and playing the guitar at the Coronado Hotel in San Diego while a giant disaster was going on. You must be REAL proud of your boy right now."

His reply: "Waah"

2. "Waah"? That's the best he could manage?
Interesting that he didn't even try to counter any of your statements. What could he say, really? There's no logical response to the truth. But "waah"? These idiots are hopeless!

3. His reply: "Waah"
My reply would have been: Good comeback when you can't defend the indefensable.

4. That person is obviously devoid of compassion.
Don't waste another second of your time on these kind. Really, your compassion and energy however are needed elsewhere. This person doesn't deserve your recognition. Let these souless individuals go.

5. I think his reply speaks VOLUMES
Obviously, he was trounced. Follow it up. Ask him to address the issue of how dear leader's behavior. Ask him if he finds it appropriate that a "president" should go fundraising, eating cake and strumming guitars while thousands of Americans die. Is that a good president?

6. Did you write back?
You should write "I know you're crying. The situation is sad, isn't it?"

9. No the answer is , I wonder if that guy is sane.
Does he realize that because of Bush and his GOP congress funding cuts that the levees were never able to be repaired? That they begged more than three times for the funding, were turned down, and the national guard is now completely AWOL?
