Careful on Deployment of National Guard

To:
Sen. Norm Coleman

September 1, 2005

As thousands of National Guard are being deployed to LA and MS, PLEASE be careful that other U.S. security priorities are not being compromised. It would be a perfect time for terrorist groups to take advantage of this diversion and descend upon places left weakened or unguarded.

Thank you.

Eden Prairie , MN

What a complete idiot. It's no problem that tens of thousands of NG troops are indefinitely in Iraq. This guy doesn't want a few thousand sent to the Gulf Coast to help OUR people.

I highly suggest everybody check out Letters to Leaders on congress.org. I've never seen this rate of emails and they are almost all questioning why there isn't any support for the hurricane victims. America is pissed.

6. I've always thought that "Stay the Course" meant
I can't think of another solution, so I'll just stick with this one. The fact that it isn't working has no bearing on the matter.

Check out this email... people are seriously pissed and they're not letting their blind faith in Bush stop them:

Assistance for Hurrican Victims

To:
President George Bush

September 1, 2005

As a 45 year old life long Republican, who voted you into office, I want you to know I am appalled at the lack of support given to the hurricane victims. Secy. Chertoff speaks of food and water being delivered - where is it? Where is the military support and assistance I have paid for as a taxpayer my entire life and which is so desperately needed? U.S. CITIZENS ARE DYING IN THE STREETS!!!! My faith in you to lead the country is lost, as is my faith in the Republican party to lead. I have been one of your strongest supporters and defenders during the past when people have questioned your leadership. Now I not only question your leadership, I am disgusted by your lack of it. I will no longer support you or the Republican party. Unfortunately, you have lost a strong and very vocal ally. I am doing what I can to help the victims of the hurricane, I wish my President was doing the same.

New Orleans

To:
President George Bush

September 1, 2005

You and your aides keep talking about what you are doing to get aid to homeless victims of Katrina, but according to the TV no aid is getting to these people and they are dying on the street. I am a diehard republican but I am disgusted with the poor response to these people. Surely you can get soldiers or guardsmen in immediately to protect the ones rendering aid and disperse and shoot if necessary the rogues who are looting and firing at aid workers. For that to take this long is unconsciousable. Get on the ball and get off your lard asses!!!
