Goodbye ANWR?
Edited on Wed Aug-31-05 11:44 PM by liberalpragmatist
How much do you want to bet that Bush and the Republicans are going to use this as a cynical opportunity to open ANWR to drilling, rather than addressing the foundations of our energy problems?

I'm not holding my breath.

2. Hopefully, Americans are so fed up with Bush right now that theyll listen
to the facts. That ANWR would not be pumping up any oil for like 10 years.

3. Please and Thank you.
The GOP will use Katrina to support everything in their agenda from Anwar to the next Supreme Court justice. The fundies (aka funides) have already imagined a link between a Doplar radar scan and a fetus. It’s a treacherous leap that escapes rational thought, but that’s never been their strong suit. Fortunately, for them most ‘mercans don’t excel in critical thinking and that’s before NCLB.

I am sure they will dig up some AR state troopers to go on record that Clinton planned this back in the ‘90s. And our MSM will be ever too glad to cover it like the Swift Boat liars.

It’s practically proof of WMD in Iraq, right? ;-)

5. Climate change - hit them hard hit them now.
I was more afraid of climate change than cosmetic changes on anwr.
Now's the time to hit them hard on it.
