1. Revenue Declines, Expenses Skyrocket
Revenue falls short as Bush gives away the treasury to his rich buddies. Expenses skyrocket as Pentagon eats up what's left. It's pretty obvious that Bill Clinton's no longer the President.

2. A Pattern Here? ?
During the Clinton presidency, the budget deficit (inherited from Reagan and Bush Sr.) was steadily reduced until we had a surplus, which grew until junior took over.

These are White House numbers, by the way, from the Office of Management and Budget.

3. The most astonishing thing which is not evident in that graph
is the relatively slow 20-30 year build-up towards that 290 billion dollar deficit. It took a long time to get there. Bush crushed it in record time. That is inconceivably dangerous...

5. Now, now,
my pResident just the other day, issued a statement from the White House stating that the tax cuts helped cushion the blow for most Americans from the economic "downturn." :eyes: :puke:

9. Ari F. yesterday
pulled out the 9/11 card AGAIN regarding the deficit.

When will this administration stop exploiting 9/11?

TAX CUTS anyone? Worst unemployment record since Herbert Hoover! Largest budget deficit since poppy bu$h. Tax revenues fallen for 3 straight years - longest streak since the Depression.

Bu$h is an economic train wreck.

Of course, it's all due to 9/11, right Ari?

10. Buzzflash
Buzzflash is selling postcards with this graph and a few others. Underneath is the question: "Are you better off now than you were four years ago?" It's a pretty sweet deal (something like 15 of them for $5) and you're supporting Buzzflash. Check it out!
