So, I get a *postcard* from Sen. Nelson about his new internet enthusiasm.

I guess he is going to get on the bandwagon? The postcard directs us to the website so we can sign on.

This is a senator who never communicates, seldom even responds to calls or letters, and is more GOP than not.

I am trying to appreciate his effort, but I don't. He got over 2700 calls against the war, voted for it wholeheartedly. Won an award from the US Chamber of Commerce for voting with business 75% of the time.

His aide said to me that he voted for the war because he had to "listen to the ones who did NOT call." When I asked her what they said...the ones who did not call....she stammered and stuttered.

He is a part of the group that was discussed in "Jesus, plus Nothing." His wife is on the board of directors. He is one of two Democrats mentioned. I don't know what to think of that.

So, he sends me a postcard to tell me he is going to be active on the internet. Well, gee, Bill, you have my email address.

finally has an email address on his website.
And it says this:
"Regrettably, I am unable to reply to any email from constituents outside of Alabama."
Uh...Jo?
You don't HAVE any constituents outside of Alabama.
Not to put TOO fine a point on it, but you don't have any outside of the 1st district.
What a maroon.
