Just make Iraq the 51st State already...
Just make Iraq the 51st State already! I mean, after all the money and blood we've poured into a country for absolutely no reason, and the fact that we will be controlling the country not-so-secretly... we might as well make it our 51st State. At least then we'd have a damn reason for being there.

It accomplishes all our goals and gives us purpose for being there. We get to Westernize a Middle Eastern Country, Iraq gets a Constitution that we approve of (well except for the fact that it lacks an anti-gay marriage amendment), and all the radical Muslims would provide a nice counter balance to all our radical Christians. Everyone is happy! AND we still get the oil! AND we don't have to cover up the fact that we are going to be influencing every decision made!

:sarcasm:

3. After "we're" done with iraq I believe it will turn into the most
repressive islamic hell hole in the middle-east, can you believe women are now being beaten for not wearing traditional muslim clothing?

5. Bah!
All they need is some good ole Christian counter-balance. In fact once they become the 51st State I suggest that we have a federal plan that allows as many radical right wing Christians as possible enter into Iraq. Once there they can try and convert all those heathen Muslims by whatever means necessary.

Fun can be had by... okay, maybe not by all but certainly I will have fun watching the results. :P

Poor Jerry already has a Jihad called against him for calling Muhammad a Terrorist.

4. Sorry, that is already taken by Israel
we (taxpayers) are paying nearly $500K per settler to move them out of Gaza - when is the last time your govt gave you moving money?

Then Iraq can be the 52nd State

10. Okay, okay...
But Iran already has dibs on the 53rd, Syria on 54th, and North Korea on 55th.

Our Great President has an aggressive agenda for the next 4 years of his Presidency. He wants to add at least another fifty states to the country, bringing the total up to one hundred.

11. Israel should secede.
They obviously don't want to go along with the program. I say grant them their independence. The financial kind.

6. Absolutely not!
Why in tarnation would we want them to be protected (however weakly) by the Bill of Rights and other guaranteed protections that are imiscible with current policy?

Of all the crazy ideas....

7. A few casinos and amusement parks...
would open up tourism and jump start the economy!

Maybe Disney would like to dock a cruise ship at Um Qasr.

14. Hmmm... Jihad Land... has a nice ring.
I can picture it now. Instead of a Mickey Mouse Costume there is a George W. Bush costume. Iraqi's and other people can beat the costumed person with foam baseball bats while screaming "JIHAD! JIHAD! JIIIIIIIIHHHHHAAAD!" At the top of their lungs.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'd have fun. :P

16. Sorry to break it to you...
...but America doesn't want Puerto Rico. We just don't love you anymore. That is to say, we used to love you, but now we just want to be friends. :P

(Small print: Being friends with America includes doing everything that we say without question and delivering your eternal soul to our Great Leader. Please contact your American Embassy as other stipulations may apply.)

representation thing. They keep trying and you're bound and determined to transform the 51st star into an oil well. :P
