"is she filled with guilt because she drove her son to leave home and seek the army??? Did he prefer the army to living with this weirdo?? Just a thought"
18. That post sugtgests that #1. The Army is a BAD place to be right now &
#2. Parents who have children in the service are bad parents.
I wonder if any of them would care to expound on those points? If they agree that the Army is a bad spot to see, exactly who do they expect to go fight this war they love so much? If the armed services are comprised of the products of bad parenting, what does that say about the Republican dead?
As more and more posters and pundits and politicians are saying, these folks can call themselves conservatives, but they are the radicals. They are the fringe. They are the America-haters and the simple-minded. They are opposed the free speech and democracy. No need to post links to their venom here. Their vile and hate and depth of their contempt for the world sadly knows no bounds. They are pathetic. Let them spew their hate among themselves. There's no need for any of us to get involved in any way.
to some country concerts but won't probably again anytime soon. They are just different people that I thought I had some commonality with but realize now, no way (though I will still purchase Dixie Chick and Willie Nelson CD's).
Remember what they did to Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks (one of their own)?
I noticed from the bottom of the first post that they torture helpless kittens, too - didn't even buy kitty a beer - although she probably would have ralphed all over the "hi-fi" when she got dizzy.
who practically crucified the Dixie Chicks because Natalie said she was ashamed to say she was from Texas?? Yeah. They are true believers in the Constitution. Free speech for everyone! Except the Dixie Chicks, Cindy Sheehan and anyone else who does not agree with them. I never look at any of their sites. Then their hit count goes up and they think they are more popular than they really are. I don't go there and I don't want to see them here.
...until last xmas she was on tv and sang about a man who lost his son in the Iraq war, and "was glad to sacrifice his son for God, just like God gave his only son for us". I nearly threw up.
I certainly agree with your assessment of current country music. It all sounds like hashed over late 50s rock to me with pickups thrown in. IMO there really hasn't been any real country music since Hank Williams sr. and Patsy Cline died.I content myself- when I listen- with people like Asleep At The Wheel, Willie Nelson,Commander Cody and the like and my collection of transcriptions from classic Bob Wills albums.
