To: ApesForEvolution

Yep, and he's well on his way to making the same mistake John McCain did, which is to forget who the base of the Republican Party is.

14. Well Wolfstar is NUTS! no doubt.
It would be George's 1st election and we will not elect him....so he will be NUTS! Poor bastard, he's confused this administration with the party of Eisenhower and Lincoln....

5. OMFG!!!!!
RE: Hagel's Vietnam service (which was stellar!!!)

"is one purple heart from a HEAD INJURY? Being a Vietnam Vet shouldn't be criteria for service in the Senate of the United States... take a look at the vet corp there..McCain, Kerry... at least Georgia woke up in the last election."

Sorry, but when the revolution comes, I have a special place on the wall for the motherfucker who said that. Sorry mods, really offended by this guy.

11. Wow, that is pretty vile...
...guess that's one of those "support the troops" fellars. Yes, look at the Vet Corp in the Senate. So few Republicans, even fewer Bush supporters. Why is that?

17. I would like to be standing nose to nose
with that peckerwood and have him dare say "Support the Troops" to my face. I dare say he wouldn't get past the second syllable.

6. Hagel's being groomed.
You do know that, don't you?

Hagel is a Bush-man from way back, started working for Poppy back in the 80s, buddied up with W and then took over the voting machine company. He delivered, too.

8. Yes, I know
When they trotted him out today, you just know something big is shaking.

It concerns me when I see how eager dems/libs are to look to the right for the voice of reason. I wouldn't trust this guy farther than I could throw him!

10. Ooooh, I Agree
I think he has his eye on Cheney's job. Notice, Hagel points his finger at everyone but GWB. I think they must figure that if the Dems run Kerry/Clark, the Republicans would really need a true veteran on their ticket.

15. Let's play prediction.
(1) Cheney steps down, suddenly.
(2) Hagel appointed (?) VP?
(3) Hagel pardons Bush and becomes President.....

Am I close?

12. Saxby Chambliss is more vocal nowadays also...
He pulled an upset just like Hagel...

Don't trust either of them, nor the black box voting systems they rode into office on.

I will NEVER forgive Chambliss for that campaign.

13. Jebs in Hagels way
Hagel wants the top job. It seems clear that if W* win the next election, Jeb becomes the dauphin. No room for Hagel. If Bush loses, then 08 will be open.

24. Yep, Hagel's attacks are really bigger than that
Hagel directly attacking Bush for his misadventure in Iraq is the big boys saying, "Don't count on us to bail your ass out in 2004."

is how fast they resort to name calling. They bash Hagel with absolutely nothing substantive behind their words.

18. They are so incurious.
The Trolls-R-Us crowd never seems to wonder why something unusual or unexpected happens, they just react. No curiosity, no imagination, just pure reaction.

19. vile crap from FR, as usual
how can people demean veterans, even if they happen to disagree with their political views? i guess this just goes along with FR's support the troops agenda, which includes supporting VA benefits cuts. :eyes:

20. How can ANY Dumbya supporter comment on Hagel's intelligence ? !
"When he answeres a question he has to clarify the question by repeating it somewhat so he can think... then his answer becomes completely incoherent.

This man is a true mental midget."

"it's his vacuous mind! The man has difficulty upstairs... he can't put two coherent sentences together and present a complete thought."

"Wolfstar... I think he's really just very VERY Stupid..."

"the man is so vacuous, he's impossible to to comprehend..

When this man speaks... "bubbles" might as well be coming out of his mouth... that's about the equivalent value of his vacant babbling. Where is Lawrence Welk when you need him!!! (that's a joke flamers...)"

21. I Seem to Recall
That Hagel (along with the former Senator Fred Thompson) was one of McCain's supporters in 2000.

That already makes him miles better in the integrity department than El Shrubbo.

He's a closet Nebraskan. I have personal knowledge that he prowls with the Greenwich, CT millionaire RINO crowd.
