Will we now finally investigate the Gulf War LIES of Poppy?
Edited on Mon Jul-14-03 09:17 PM by TruthIsAll
PAST IS PROLOGUE! HISTORY REPEATS!
DEJA VU! DEJA VU! DEJA VU! DEJA VU! DEJA VU! DEJA VU!

While we are at it, Congress, why don't we investigate the MAJOR lies which got us into Gulf War I by Bush I?

The Media, Congress and all Americans must know these documented facts:

1) Poppy tricked Saddam into invading Kuwait (Ambassador April Glaspie winked at Saddam and said Poppy wouldn't mind).

2) The PR firm Hill & Knolton was hired. They spread the lie that Saddam's Republican Guards were throwing children out of incubators!

3) Bush lied when he said Saddam was massing troops on the Kuwait border. Russian satellite photos proved that it never happened.

4) For a decade, trade sanctions caused the death of hundreds of thousands of Iraquis, mostly children.

5) Hundreds of thousands of our troops have suffered from the effects of Gulf War Syndrome, and for years OUR government fought them, by claiming there was NO relationship between their time in Kuwait/Iraq and the disease. And OUR government prevented them from getting the medical benefits they deserved..

But of course, Saddam is worse than Hitler. He gassed his own people. A Lie. It was Iran who gassed the Kurds. There is NO proof saddam did it. And the WMD used were known to have been sold to Iran for the Iran/Iraq war.

By who? I will a little think.

Saddam wanted to assassinate Poppy. Another lie. Seymour Hersh wrote about this one..

1. correction.
3) Bush lied when he said Saddam was massing troop on the Saudi-Arabian border. Russian satellite photos proved that it never happened.

I agree there should be a massive investigation into the bush crime family. What we're witnessing today may be the start of that. Let's hope!

3. Maybe they could start with the bombing
of an airplane full of American troops just after take off in Gander, Canada. We lost over 240 soldiers in that one and very few people have ever even heard of it. Bu$h Sr. was personally responsible for the cover up.

4. Excellent question, TruthIsAll! Great thread, too!
The crimes of Poppy Doc Bush would come under the laws governing treason and, thus, are outside any statute of limitation. Certain of his children have specialized in other types of arch-criminality, but they all seem traitors, as well. And while he or she is at it, I hope the next President fully investigates the Bushes connection to "The Bay of Pigs Thing" and "The Texans" the late Mr. Nixon was taped talking about.

8. Dead on, TIA. A thorough investigation is long overdue.
Some other points:

US Congressman Jimmy Hayes of Louisiana--a conservative Democrat who supported the Gulf War I--later estimated that the government of Kuwait funded as many as 20 PR law and lobby firms in its campaign to mobilize US opinion and force against Hussein.

Nine days after Saddam's army marched into Kuwait, the Emir's government agreed to fund a contract under which Hill & Knowlton would represent "Citizens for a Free Kuwait," a classic PR front group designed to hide the real role of the Kuwaiti government and its collusion with the Poppy Bush administration. Over the next six months, the Kuwaiti government channeled $11.9 million dollars to Citizens for a Free Kuwait, whose only other funding totalled $17,861 from 78 individuals. Virtually all of CFK's budget--$10.8 million--went to Hill & Knowlton in the form of fees.

The man running H&K's Washington office was Craig Fuller, one of Bush's closest friends and inside political advisors.

This information comes from "Toxic Sludge is Good For You! (Lies, Damn Lies and the Public Relations Industry)" a great expose by John Stauber & Sheldon Rampton.
