Prescription Drugs 16,400 % more Deadly Than Terrorists.
Statistics prove prescription drugs are 16,400% more deadly than terrorists

America was rudely awakened to a new kind of danger on September 11, 2001: Terrorism. The attacks that day left 2,996 people dead, including the passengers on the four commercial airliners that were used as weapons. Many feel it was the most tragic day in U.S. history.

Four commercial jets crashed that day. But what if six jumbo jets crashed every day in the United States, claiming the lives of 783,936 people every year? That would certainly qualify as a massive tragedy, wouldn't it?

Well, forget "what if." The tragedy is happening right now. Over 750,000 people actually do die in the United States every year, although not from plane crashes. They die from something far more common and rarely perceived by the public as dangerous: modern medicine.

According to the groundbreaking 2003 medical report Death by Medicine, by Drs. Gary Null, Carolyn Dean, Martin Feldman, Debora Rasio and Dorothy Smith, 783,936 people in the United States die every year from conventional medicine mistakes. That's the equivalent of six jumbo jet crashes a day for an entire year. But where is the media attention for this tragedy? Where is the government support for stopping these medical mistakes before they happen?

1. Corporations decide what our priorities are
and this isn't one of them.

There is big money still to be made in health care for the corporate masters so this is not to be looked at. After all, we the people, are expendable.

The media is also controlled by corporations. They, not us, will determine what will and will not be attended to. And this will not.

Sorry to be a wet rag. I work in health care and have for 16 years. I've seen it from the inside and it sucks.

As well, even if this weren't going to be buried by the corporations that have a vested interest, as a counter point, you seem to believe that those that practice modern medicine (which is actually just glorified wives tales passed down through an oral history), are more than just everyday humans with all the error in judgement and forgetfulness and mistakes that are attendant with being just everyday humans. Doctors and nurses are just humans who have been taught by other humans and who btw, to get back to the corporation angle, are being squeezed by the mess that is our American health care "system" (no system, really) and are often so overburdened by too much need and not enough caregivers that they make mistakes. Some are blessedly small mistakes but some kill.

I mean there are days when I go home from work and the best thing I can say is that no one died under my care but it was luck more than anything.

And all of this needs to be brought out by that media you mentioned but it won't happen.

2. stick to illegal drugs, at least they're known and safer
Those legal ones are just chemical experiments on the population by
corporate marketing departments. When TOOO many people, die they
take it off the market, but why be a statistic in that.

3. Imagine if that was the headline everyday in media
"Another 2000 American Dead today due to Medical Care" That is what is happening every day in this country. And that is according to their (AMA) statistics. Can you just imagine if the media would expose this travesty. And yet we have congress worrying about what supplements we are taking.
