How many still have their Kerry/Edwards yard sign up?
We do and it serves as a great talking piece. An older couple walking past said they admired our loyalty and perseverance.

We responded we never want to be thought of or known as Bushbots. They smiled.

3. Us, too
We have a modest but nice house with greenery, trees, and wildflowers. It's our statement to the Bushbots.

2. I still have the bumperstickers on
Edited on Sun Jul-31-05 02:04 AM by lwfern
My yard sign was stolen in less than a day, so then I got the giganto billboard style one and hung it from our roof, cause I was mad. Then that came down in a windstorm, and I recycled it into a display board at school.

But the bumperstickers remain.

I saw a Clinton/Gore bumpersticker recently. THAT'S dedication.

5. My bumper sticker got ripped off
I was SO FUCKING PIST, I REALLY wish I could find another one, I wanted it to be displayed on the back of my car for years to come. That election was just so important and I want my stance in that particular election to be clear, I didn't cause this fucking mess

31. I only did mine
because other people in the area had their stuff down as well. I of course saw some W stickers but now of course not that many. I see other types of stickers of course.

I doubt it. I want the Bushbots to know we didn't vote for W. I'll leave it there until it rots off.

15. Here in bright red Indiana
the roads are filled with W stickers, Jesus fish and a sea of magnetic ribbons. My Kerry sticker the simplest way I have to show that I am not one of them. I actually still see quite a few of them, so obviously others share my sentiment. At this point it just means "I'm a Democrat".

9. I have a blanket policy of zero writing on t-shirts, cars, etc.
It's actually kind of hard to stick to given the paucity of t-shirts without writing/symbols/pictures on them. I sort of have to hunt for them in the right stores. Thus far I've been successful.

It's basically an anti-corporate measure: I don't want my clothing, car, living quarters, or other personal space to be advertising space. If I'm going to be a walking advertisement I want to be compensated for it etc. I've kept it up from the beginnings of having any discretion over my clothing and personal space at all (i.e. since I've had the choice of what to buy vs. it being bought without consulting me by my parents).

I'm questioning this somewhat since politics went into the toilet in 2000.

Edited on Sun Jul-31-05 02:56 AM by dbt
my Kerry bumpersticker will stay on my car until it fades into oblivion. Then, I'll get another one. These precious motherfuckers cruising in their SUVs, babbling away on their cell phones and showing their W stickers can kiss my shiny metal ass!

Brave new world without end, amen.

16. Sadly, my Kerry/Edwards sticker
was taken off following inauguration day.
In opposition to Bush's call on July 4th; however, we made and displayed a PEACE sign in our front yard. :bounce:

17. In most places, political lawn signs are illegal
once the election is over. I'm not sure why you would want to keep it up anyway. It's pretty tacky to do so on either side. You just look clueless.

21. That's the ordinance here too for lawn signs
but I've seen people with them in the windows of their home still.

We have ours hanging in the garage along with the "Building a Stronger America" rally signs front and center so any time the garage is open (often) you have no questions about who we support.

My wife and I have begun giving the "L" loser sign on our foreheads whenever we see people driving with "W" stickers still on their cars while mouthing the word "LIAR"

Makes us feel good.

20. I saw something that struck me funny.
Yesterday, while searching for an estate sale in the boondocks of rural, southern Vermont, I spotted a Bush/Cheney sign. It struck me as funny because this area is about as blue as it gets and the person with the sign had to post it about 30 feet up a tree to keep it intact. (If I was 20 years younger I might have attempted scaling the tree! )

But I still have my bumper sticker. Not on my car though. I every once in a while will see a Kerry/Edwards sticker and I don't see that many W stickers around either. And I live in Tennessee.

I drove by the house : Randy in CT : 8/2/05 9:36 AM
where Bush was born in New Haven over the weekend (I live near there) and whomever is living there now had a Kerry/Edwards sticker in the window, which i appreciated fully.
