6. Or a therapist
or both. How could anyone "hate" Dave?

Either way, let it go. The best learned of lessons usually come at a high price. Pay the last of it and move on. The rest of your life awaits you.

7. It was a joke.
I don't use a lot of smilies. Sorry.
We're separating for much more important reasons. Counselling didn't help. I've paid a higher price than you know, and I am letting it go.

4. invading Antarctica is more plausible than it sounds
After all, where is all the fresh water going to come from with the glaciers gone, river valleys polluted, and rainfall distributed in erratic monsoons and hurricanes?

Also bear in mind that as the globe heats up, the temperate regions move toward the poles, until they are precisely the poles (and in the worst-case event, even they finally overheat). One of those is an ocean. The other is a continent. And there are indications that the global warming situation is into "runaway" territory where global warming causes more global warming by releasing trapped methane and decreasing the planet's albedo.

9. Greenland is first, yes; Antarctica is longer-term
It depends upon the timeline of your bet.
