Freeper to Freeper advice: Stay away from the fighting

I don't normally go to that sewer, but someone posted a link on an unrelated topic and this thread caught my eye.

It's from a guy who wants advice on which service branch to join. Many of the posts advise him to join the AF or Coast Guard to stay away from the fighting. Several more advise him to stay home and raise his family.

I give the guy credit for willing to join, but most of the responses confirm what we already know -- they're a bunch of cowardly lion, keyboard warriors.

1. They don't even give good advice.

Anyone who takes the time to read about the war and our efforts over there know that the Air Force is not a safe branch to join either. They are using Air Force personnel on the ground in Iraq to maintain the vehicles, as military police, for grunt work, for medical support, and for just about whatever purpose they need.

Ignorant and cowardly. What a combination.
