4. I actually read on another thread

that combat pay for a soldier is $225 per month. They were actually going to lower that to $175 (correct?).

I can't imagine putting my life on the line, each and every day for $225 bucks. And what's worse, is that soldier might have a mortgage payment back home, or a car payment which he can't make. His house might get foreclosed on, as long as he's in Iraq.
