Gas under $2 a gallon

I was paying 74 cents a gallon in the Southeast. Just last week, gas prices were around $2.15 per gallon. That's almost triple in only six years.

I'm getting settled into the idea of never seeing it again, but the prospect of going over $3 scares the hell out of me. We've cut back as it is. I do as little driving as possible these days.

with a refinery right down the street. How long will it take to reach $3, is the better question. Surely we will be the first here.

I remember my friends and I saying "OMFG...OVER ONE DOLLAR A GALLON, WHAT IS NEXT??!!!!"

Today I drove 4 miles out of my way for regular gas at $2.13. So I'd say no, we will never see gas under $2 a gallon again.

lowest I can find in San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles is $2.49. I predict $3 by Labor Day and never again under $2.

I do remember when I lived in Texas just 4 years ago, I could still get a gallon of regular unleaded for 99 cents a gallon. Ah, the good old days.
