It would seem to me that the Rove affair is all about a security breach
...and as such, it should be the Number One concern of Congress right now. How can Bush protect us from terrorism if there's a leaker of government secrets in his midst? I would think that, in spite of USAToday's rousing accolade for Bush in "seizing the media by the horns" by moving up the announcement of his Supreme Count nominee, all government business should be halted in order to find and isolate this leaker before more secret intelligence becomes public. This includes the SCOTUS nomination process. The court can get by with one less justice for awhile; the security breech is much more important and needs to addressed now. Who knows what else will become "public information" for all the world's terrorists to see before this thing plays itself out.

I'm sure the President feels the same way.

2. Not enough attention to leak disrupting Plame's WMD investigations
Edited on Wed Jul-20-05 07:50 PM by wishlist
There has been almost no discussion in the media about how the disclosure of her identity might have disrupted Plame's WMD investigations and analysis which raises the possibility that the White House purposely wanted to derail her findings by leaking her identity because her findings would expose White House lies and could also expose Halliburton shenanigans and Cheney's dubious activities.

3. It's amazing, isn't it?
What this country has become. Your whole post is spot on.

The Bush Administration is nothing more than a Crime Syndicate, operating outside the law. Bush is Al Capone and the world is Chicago.

The media has certainly failed us on this one.

5. Media is definitely not delving into implications of leak enough
Besides the serious implications involving WH duplicity about WMD, there is also the issue of White House through Rove having too much influence on the substance and spin of journalists' stories.

4. They EXPLOIT us,...for themselves. They are willing to ENDANGER us,...
Edited on Wed Jul-20-05 08:15 PM by Just Me
,..and this country,...for themselves. They really believe it's acceptable to do both the foregoing,...for themselves.

They are AMORAL, without morals,...which makes them capable of absolute evil.

They are as criminally insane as any in the history of humanity,...they're just more polished at being criminal.
