The Stones Attack Bush On New Record
The Stones Attack Bush On New Record

http://www.undercover.com.au/news/2005/jul05/20050719_stones.html

The Rolling Stones will deliver a musical attack on George W. Bush with their new album.

One track 'Neo-Con' is reported to question the political ambitions of Bush's war ethics.

Some fans are already questioning if the politically correct Stones go through with releasing the song on the album. The lyrics don't flatter in any way National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice.

10. Brown Sugar? More like Brown Vinegar in Condi's case...
... y'know, come to think of it, Condi could curdle vinegar!

Edited on Wed Jul-20-05 05:36 PM by Adenoid_Hynkel
instead of just cashing in with another tour. their last album of new material,'bridges to babylon,' was actally pretty good, but it's been 8 years. they've toured a few times since, but with no new music to promote.

I know, I know...The Stones have not always been P.C. (In my case, Under My Thumb is the clincher...)

But, you know what? I don't care. This is great. They'll reach a LOT of people and maybe it will make a dent?

6. It will be interesting to see if they can pull one out.
It's been a long time since they have put out anything remotely relevant, or even good.

7. politically correct?
what the hell are they talking about? don't they remember the "black and blue" cover? the lyrics to "some girls"? i would call the stones one of the first truly politically incorrect bands ever....that's why i loved them so.

anyways, this is great news. i can't wait for the cd. the only stones album or cd i bought after "tattoo you" was "stripped". i own everything up to "tattoo you".

8. Let's Spend Some TIME Together
A la The Ed Sullivan Show. Oh, yeah. I remember it well. If the Fundies have their way, we will be hearing a lot more of that.
